aibu to finish packet of biscuits

Today 17 wo ds seems to think it's only right and proper that he's attached to a breast every minute. Any attempt to extract myself is met with a stern telling off. I'm 2/3 of the way through a packet of choco Leibniz (only food in reach). Wibu to polish off the lot?

Definately not, go for it! Grin

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 07/03/2013 12:31

Yes you are. Because of my recent resolution, I can't eat cakes/puddings/sweets/biscuits during the week, so I don't see why anyone else should!!

And I clearly need the calories as my focus is really slipping - I read your OP as saying that your 17YO ds wanted to be attached to a breast all the time! Blush

happyjustobeme · 07/03/2013 12:31

I too have eaten 6 (so two thirds) of a pack of choco leibinz dark this morning whilst DS2 has his nap. I have really enjoyed them dipped in a cup of coffee. Go for it!

sunshinesue · 07/03/2013 13:18

well I managed to separate myself from the little limpet to make some toast only to discover the bread is moldy. Biscuits it is, though do feel slightly sick at the thought of a 17 yo ds latching on Grin

YABU for even considering to stop at 2/3 of the packet
What's wrong with you?!

Scholes34 · 07/03/2013 13:23

I can usually resist an unopened packet of biscuits, but now you've opened them, you've no option but to polish them off.

Anyway, they're more chocolate than biscuit, so really only equivalent to half a packet's worth of biscuits.

YAabsolutelynotBU.

sunshinesue · 07/03/2013 13:44

all gone Grin, I may return shortly to ask if I should crack open the second packet waving at me from the cupboard Grin

Yabu, because my 15wo gets gripe if i have caffeine - so, no tea coffee or chocolate

Lulabellarama · 07/03/2013 13:52

Can people really eat an entire packet of biscuits in one go? Really?
Doesn't it make you feel sick?

Scholes34 · 07/03/2013 13:54

No, you can't open the second pack. The first biscuit will taste good. At a push you'll manage a second, but then feel compelled to finish the second packet and you'll really wish you hadn't.

You know you have the willpower to resist opening the pack. Having the willpower to not finish it is the difficult bit.

MrsHoarder · 07/03/2013 13:57

At that stage in bfing I was managing at least one pack of biscuits a day. With those biscuits 2 packs would easily get polished off.

Love the ebf stage!

bangersmashandbeans · 07/03/2013 14:04

Lula are you for real?!

Lulabellarama · 07/03/2013 14:10

Yes I am Hmm
So people really eat whole packets of biscuits then? It was a genuine question.

bangersmashandbeans · 07/03/2013 14:16

Yes 'people' do! Especially breastfeeding ones!!

EarlyInTheMorning · 07/03/2013 14:20

Lula I am polishing a packet a milk digestives right now as we speak (or type). I know I shouldn't, I'm not proud of it, I wish I wasn't doing it, but I am, no problem at all. A packet of choco leibniz is like an apetizer for me. I would deffo open and polish the second packet but sunshinesue, DON'T DO AS I DO!

bangersmashandbeans · 07/03/2013 14:23

And as for a packet of Jaffa cakes....it would be an amoos boosh if I could spell it!!

EarlyInTheMorning · 07/03/2013 14:27

Jaffas are just air
lighweight

ScumbagCollegeDropout · 07/03/2013 14:56

If you are not going to have the second pack, pass them over here.

YWNBU. And I in turn WNBU to eat the whole second pack.

MrsHoarder · 07/03/2013 15:02

Lula did you bf? Because everyone I've come into contact with who has bf past the 6 week mark ate sugary food like they were starved. You have to produce enough energy for that rapidly growing baby as well add why you normally need. Plus not getting enough sleep, recovering from birth etc.

And i'm not deluding myself about it being for the baby, I was back into pre-pregnancy Jeans quite quickly.

Can I have the second pack?

Lulabellarama · 07/03/2013 17:15

Yep, twice, to around a year.
Don't get me wrong, I was partial to more cake than usual in the earlier days, but I still can't imagine eating a whole packet of biscuits.
I'm not judging, I'm just a bit surprised because I consider myself to have a healthy appetitie and I couldn't manage it.

FrankSpenser · 07/03/2013 17:27

Ha!! Of course bloody not!

It's when you polish of a nearly whole packet of biscuits only to then feel embarrassed at being a little piglet, so go out and buy another pack exactly the same as before from the shops, open that one, eat those biscuits down to the number of the original pack, and then place back in the cupboard as if they had never been touched.

Not that I'd do anyfink so conniving o'course

forbetterorworsted · 07/03/2013 17:48

I think YANBU but then I once ate 5 packets of biscuits. I live with my in laws and didn't want them to know what a piggy I am, so went and bought more to replace them.

I then ate those biscuits.

Oh and I'm breastfeeding and constantly hungry too! I was back in my size 8 jeans two weeks post birth despite my passion for refined sugar!

FrankSpenser · 07/03/2013 17:59

I wasn't breastfeeding though Sad

There's no redemption for me.

bigkidsdidit · 07/03/2013 18:03

pregnant ones do it too

(28 weeks and a whole packet of chocolate hobnobs down)

choco leibniz hardly count though, they are so thin and so few per pack
