Errm, YABU but I'm nervous about saying so. You're a bit scary.

MissyMooandherBeaverofSteel · 11/02/2013 14:00

Yabu, if you only stir it twice the sugar won't melt properly.

Do you really find it annoying? I can't say I ever notice.

SashaSashays · 11/02/2013 14:01

No whats fucking annoying is finding that you're drink doesn't taste right because you haven't been able to stir it adequately for fear of upsetting some unreasonable knobhead drinks nazi.

YABU, I'd probably even start over dunking biscuits and then having to fish them out in the hope it would piss you off.

GretaGip · 11/02/2013 14:02

Yup.

You're allowed three stirs and spoon's out.

K?

I stir my drink a lot and I spoon out the froth. And I play the spoons.

Startail · 11/02/2013 14:02

Unless it's hot chocolate, which always needs stirring.

Sugar in Tea and coffee is simply wrong, anyway.

Trills · 11/02/2013 14:03

YABU

Beverages need different amounts of stirring depending on what is in them.

Inadequate stirring is bad thing. "2 times" may be insufficient.

GretaGip · 11/02/2013 14:04

But as you lift it up and down, that action blends it in as well.

So you can do a bit of stirring and then let science do its bit. Qui. Et. Ly.

Easy.

Fenton · 11/02/2013 14:04

My Dad has always done this to excess and it has annoyed me, - I agree that two or three revolutions is sufficient.

GretaGip · 11/02/2013 14:05

maras2 · 11/02/2013 14:06

Also why on earth do these stirrers feel the need to tap the spoon on the side of the cup.Just stop it please.

FancyPuffin · 11/02/2013 14:06

Not only do I super stir the fucker (drink)

I tap the teaspoon on edge of the cup when finished in the style of a pleasing tune.

BreconBeBuggered · 11/02/2013 14:06

Dear me.
I hardly ever drink tea/coffee, but when I do, purely to be sociable, somebody is bound to chirrup that I'm stirring it in the wrong direction. I didn't realise there was a limit to permitted revolutions as well.

mrsjay · 11/02/2013 14:07

I stir my drink a lot and I spoon out the froth. And I play the spoons.

TheVermiciousKnid · 11/02/2013 14:08

You sound like you need a nice cup of calming chamomile tea. :)

Here you go: Brew

CrazyOldCatLady · 11/02/2013 14:09

It doesn't matter how many times you stir, the important thing is to do it SILENTLY! Other people in the room shouldn't be able to hear it to count.

GretaGip · 11/02/2013 14:09

Ooh, I hadn't thought about direction. Think I may be flexible and magnanimousus on that point.

SUPERSTIRRERS - that's what you ritten bea
sts are called. Ugh.

Do you mean your accompanists in the musical sense? Are you a musician, OP, and your bass-player/violinist/trumpeter is a stirring obsessive?

Ah, here is your cuppa. Brew

MissyMooandherBeaverofSteel · 11/02/2013 14:11

I think I must stir mine about 20 times, and I'm a tapper and I slurp the first couple of mouthfuls really loudly because its too hot fancy popping over for a cuppa op Grin

GretaGip · 11/02/2013 14:14
