Perhaps you are just a bit of a tweet (joke - and not a very good one)

grin
And I'm scared of ebay too Sparkling, trying to pluck up the courage to sell some bits though

I have bought off e bay but not an auction although have been tonight looking at one and telling myself NO VERY FIRMLY, of a htc desire s, which current bid is below what i would pay, but it has two days to go anyway so would probably go way out of my league!

I was scared to though at first. sooo tempted though.

Do it! Just give it a go - it's really simple at it's most basic level and as you gain confidence you can experiment with prettying up your listings. Do they still have a beginner sellers forum - I'm sure I remember reading that a zillion years ago when I started selling - it was good to pick up and learn about all the things you can do to maximise your success and also to learn how to avoid what can go wrong. Do give it a go - you'll love it when you actually start seeing the dosh come in!

Selling on eBay is simplicity itself. There are full instructions and it's very quick and easy. I just sold a few old coats and made £150!

Blimey, MrsJ. 150 quid, you say? <strokes beard thoughtfully>

Isn't if full of dodgy folk waiting to rip you off though?

FlightRisk Sat 11-Feb-12 10:00:34

No. I've hado two dodgy sellers in 3 years.

I started selling before I started buying.

I've been doing it for years now.

I've bought so many things off there now and sold all sorts too. including all DS's baby stuff.

I must have made about £3000 over the years. (probably spent that too though blush)

I've never encountered a truly bad seller. Some minor problems yes, but not huge ones, never felt like I was dealing with a con artist & most fall over backwards to sort any problem out.
Bad buyers... ugh. Too many of them. Three of my last 4 sales went wrong (diverse reasons). sad
