AIBU?

To think that MN needs a dating section?

A fred about a fred Xmas Grin. It has come to my attention that many lovely Mnetters are single, myself included. And many of us aren't in a position to meet many men.

So AIBU to think that a pass-on-your-single-friend/brother/amicable Ex dating service would be A Good Thing? MNetters directing their single men in the general direction of other Mnetters?

Nightmare SIL thread waiting to happen? Or good plan?

nnnooooo. very bad idea.

The place would end up swarming with sleaze balls wanting access to lots of single vulnerable women.

noo

Pre-vetted MIls and non-fuckwit men, as approved by Mnetters must be a plus no?

Can I pimp my brother?

Single, solvent, not as clever as me Xmas Wink, but very generous and good with kids.

Sign me up for a trial period.

I'd trust the plain speakin' no nonsense word of a MNtter.

Am thinking Flexitol, Oven Pride, Self-Stirring Mug - all ace recommendations. Why not a man too? Xmas Smile

Now, who is it who keeps the Master MN Spreadsheet? They could sort it all out.

So easy to abuse the system, though - dodgy bloke creates a profile, posts prolifically for a couple of weeks (and that's all anyone really needs to do to be known, I've observed) in the guise of random feisty woman, pimps her "cousin" who's great with kids and is of course dodgy bloke himself. If you had a thing for potentially vulnerable woman it would be a goldmine.

The only way it could work would be if the nominating poster had registered at least 6 months ago or something.

there are already online dating sites. There are far too many vulnerable people on here.

"Dearest Brother, I've found the perfect woman for you! I know her from the internet, she's really good at spelling and....um, she gives good advice on the style section"

"Hello??"

probably best to keep Mr Prospective Date in the dark about the hows and whys of where his perfect woman was found!

Hmm, BOF, when you say your brother is not as clever as you, do you mean thick?
When you say good with kids, does he want any?

I may be interested........Xmas Grin

Yep, we need a dating bit, but only for members to pass on people they know.

Not a dating site. They are full of sleazes who can't spell.

No, not a site. That would be shit and full of txtspk and wankers. Which is the whole point really.
