is a bit ...erm... bizzare...

"Hi, I have lots of adult wear to give away including studded pants for
men, unisex leather masks and leashes for those who are interested."

complete with mobile phone number!

Oh weird...report it! Sounds like someone looking for like minded folk or a thrill.

DaftApeth · 09/10/2010 15:45

Well, I thought someone could make use of them.

I've even tried to clean the studded pants as best I can Wink

ChickensHaveNoEyebrows · 09/10/2010 15:46

Nah, it's some pissed off husband/wife who's discovered her other half's fetish gear.

Meglet · 09/10/2010 15:46

Genius! Freecycle is now a S&M pick up joint.

Mumcentreplus · 09/10/2010 15:46

hehehe...I hope they have been throughly anti-backed before sale Grin

RedWellyYellowWelly · 09/10/2010 15:49

It can't be round my neck of the woods - those would never get past the moderators!

DuelingFanjo · 09/10/2010 15:51

the weird thing is that the email address is clearly a woman but the message says to 'ask for Gary'!

OP posts:
DaftApeth · 09/10/2010 15:57

Yes, I bet the mobile number is not for the poster but someone they want revenge on.

TotorosOcarina · 09/10/2010 15:59

I was in the charity shope and they had a boxed leather studded thong in there! it was gross!

DuelingFanjo · 09/10/2010 16:01

I don't know how to report it.

I wonder about my freecycle group to be honest. Recently they set up a buy and sell group for 'those tings that are just too good to give away' :(

OP posts:
QueenGigantaurofMnet · 09/10/2010 16:01

I would imagine your mods will remove it pretty sharpish.

DuelingFanjo · 09/10/2010 16:04

thing is, All messages are modded before they get posted AFAIK.

OP posts:
TotorosOcarina · 09/10/2010 16:05

it would have already been approved if its on there. mods have to 'put' the ads up don't they?

QueenGigantaurofMnet · 09/10/2010 16:10

deary me.
what are they thinking approving such a message?

Dancergirl · 09/10/2010 16:20

But surely the whole point of freecycle is that things are re-used rather than ending up on landfill.

So what's different about this stuff? It's a bit kinky and not my cup of tea but it's not illegal. Some people are into that stuff.

I don't see anything wrong with it.

DuelingFanjo · 09/10/2010 16:25

I suppose for me it's the thought that it might be previously used, I hope they have cleaned it somehow. That is if it's genuine!

Also - If I were interested I would feel a bit uncomfortable going to pick it up IYSWIM?

Blu · 09/10/2010 16:31

Better than the tupperware container of lentils which are 'years and years old but probably OK' that is on our Freecycle!

Last week there was 'half a lof of Warburtons sliced bread'

MaMoTTaT · 09/10/2010 16:36

oh my mum had lentils that were donkey's years old - she used them for weighting her pastry cases as she cooked them.

ValentinCrimble · 09/10/2010 16:44

Blu where on earth do you live? Must be the greenest town on earth! I can just see it now..."Available; one broken egg shell...please come as our composter is full"

"Also - If I were interested I would feel a bit uncomfortable going to pick it up IYSWIM?"

There would probably some sort of covert operation whereby undercover of darkness its left in a plain unmarked box in a phone box at the end on a quiet lane for you to pick up Grin

TiggyD · 09/10/2010 17:13

I wonder why Gary is getting rid of them? Leather masks never go out of style.

SweetnessAndShite · 09/10/2010 17:16
