Are there any emergency care medics up?

I’m up in the middle of the night with moderate abdominal pain. I can’t sit still, it’s really very sore and not getting better
(1g paracetamol hasn’t touched the pain)

I’m starting to feel sick.

I don’t think it is trapped wind.

I had penetrative sex with my boyfriend in a hot tub 6 hours ago. Could this be causing me some issues?

I think it’s too early for it to be an infection, but what could be causing this pain?

Not too early for a UTI. Warm bath eases it for me but only antibiotics will cure it. Feel for you. It's an awful pain.

I’m not sure it’s a uti as it feels very different.

Thank you. I’m trying some wind reliving yoga poses. I don’t think it is wind, but I haven’t got much else to try at the moment.

it’s difficult to pin point.
upper abdomen. Possibly more to the right but it’s tricky to tell.
not a sharp pain. More of a dull aching

You might have picked up something unpleasant from the hot tub.

The uterus has a negative pressure when aroused/during orgasm which functions to draw semen up and towards the egg, a little like the negative pressure your mouth makes when sucking a drink through a straw. The water you were sat in would be drawn up too, including any microorganisms that were living in it.

Best to get checked out by your GP to be sure. Hope the discomfort eases for you.

Upper right could be gallbladder/gallstones

You probably caught something, hot tubs are notorious breeding grounds for all sorts of nasties. Better get it checked out!

You need to see a doctor

I caught a raging UTI from being in a hot tub, and didn’t even shag in it. Seriously though, see a doc. My UTI took two lots of antibiotics to shift and one month on I’m still in some pain, though it’s getting better. If it is an infection, it can be really debilitating.

Every time I have been in a hot tub I have caught a UTI and I have never had sex in one. Get yourself down to out of hours for a check up and antibiotics. These things only get worse!

Upper abdominal pain on the rhs sounds like gallbladder pain. Hot tub probably a coincidence? Gallbladder pain can be excruciating. All these UTI hot tub stories have made me vow never to go in one again! They're rarely maintained/cleaned properly.

This may not be real, as its very similar to I'm in pain after having anal sex post that was up a few days ago.

I had pain on and off for 3 days. I really couldn’t work it out.

Friday I had blood in my wee, so likely was a UTI. But it was a long time delay to get the uti symptoms. I’m on antibiotics now.

I still had the tummy ache yesterday, but not so much this morning.

I wonder if it’s dual complaint- uti and possibly a stomachs ulcer (as I notice the pain is worse after eating more so as the week has gone gone)
