Sorry, I'm posting for traffic!
I'm a bit worried about my 3 year old and not sure if I'm being silly. The past few weeks she has been burping constantly, it's not just after meals, her diet hasn't changed, and it's all the time. We're staying at my parents' over Christmas and my mum has commented on just how ridiculously frequent it is.
A few nights ago she woke up shortly after being put to bed and was crying that her tummy hurt. She then did a couple of big burps and was fine.
Tonight, shortly after being put to bed, I heard her crying and went up and she'd been sick. It wasn't much, and she seemed totally fine afterwards and is now asleep. I'm wondering whether it was a sicky burp maybe, but can't be sure as I wasn't there. She ate a normal amount today (so wasn't full of Christmas food or anything), and I guess it could be a bug.
But I'm wondering if the burping, stomach pain (and now potentially a small vomit) are signs of a problem? Perhaps reflux? But she never had this as a baby so not sure. An intolerance maybe? But I worry that "my daughter burps a lot" will just be a massive waste of a GP's time. Would you get this checked? Or are some kids just burpy and sometimes bring up a bit of sick with it??
