For DD I'm trying to buy stuff that will be used/consumed as I'm sick of the tat so will be watching this for ideas.

So far all I've got is:

jar of Marshmallow Fluff
socks
book

MY DD has just turned 11. I tend to fill her stocking with stuff she needs and a few treats!

She will get some pants, socks - perhaps something she likes - those horrid themed ones (that I make her wear only with boots).
cropped tops/vests. A funky belt for their jeans.

Stationery stuff for school. Cartridge pen with ink, pencil crayons, fancy pencil sharpner, note books, pencil case etc

Shower gel, tissues (peacocks do plastic packs with trendy wrapping for about 99p),
hairbands and clips.

Other items maybe small scratch art or similar, purse, sweets, small trinket for all the little bits they seem to collect.

My two are older but some of these may apply:
cute earrings from Accessorise - dd1 will get crowns and dd2 Russian dolls;
cute necklaces ditto - dd1 is getting a mini Eiffel tower one and dd2 is getting one that has a tiny cupcake on it;
purse - dd1 would like a Union Jack sparkly one I think and dd2 will prb get one from Paperchase;
gel pens but good ones;
Berol felt tips (every Crimble!);
tiny sewing sets;
sachets of hot choc and bags of marshmallows;
they get a jar of Nutella each because Christmas and holidays are the only time they're allowed it;
dd1 gets Pizza Express salad dressing and dd2 gets something similar - eg lemon curd, or pickled onions or something!;
mini packs of unhealthy cereals such as cocoa pops - they're not allowed these the rest of the year;
tiny pots of jam;
pants and socks and fluffy slipper socks from M&S;
tiny highlighter pens; cute rubbers etc from paperchase;
lip balm;
books and bookmarks.

They won't get all of these!
