Hi.
I'm a mum of boys..... and have a good idea what he'd like for Christmas or birthday, however, I need to find presents for little girls age 8 or 9..... I know they won't want the same things as DS..... a few years ago it was all 'Frozen' but they've outgrown that. ...
Any ideas for the kinds of things little girls like.... DS loves Pokemon and Mine craft but I can't see that being a hit.....
Thanks

I think both pokemon and minecraft are gender neutral and fine for girls.

Pokemon fine. DD plays minecraftish games but not minecraftish itself. Lego generally down well with everyone. Also stationery, Harry Potter, Dr Who, books, art stuff.

My DD loves both Minecraft and Pokémon.
She also loves Shopkins, and anything crafty.

I think it's one of those things that really depends on the children. I know lots of girls who would be fine with Pokemon & mine craft, and a lot who wouldn't.

Personally my DD would adore Minecraft but not Pokemon. I don't know any of her friends who would like Pokemon, Minecraft would be appreciated by a minority. My advice would be unless you know that they would be well received then they're a nig risk and I'd buy something safer. Smuggle goodies, stationary, craft stuff or a Smiggle or Amazon voucher?

I would say funky stationary, novelty erasers, those secret diaries - all very reasonable at the works.

Top trumps are popular among dd and her friends - lots of designs to choose from. DD particularly likes the horrible histories, cats and shopkins ones.

A set of books - popular here is horrible histories, ever after high, Jeremy strong, David Walliams, nick sharatt daisy series, animal ark.

Shopkins, num Nums, tsum tsums, my little pony are all popular here if you prefered to buy toys.

Unicorns and pugs are popular among dd and friends. Primark had a few novelty bits and lots available to buy online :)

No minecraft or Pokemon here.

5yo would live my little pony but not the 9yo.

Smiggle stuff is very popular. My dd loves reading - David Walliams a safe bet.

Agree with a secret diaries & stationary.

I have 5 daughters, most of them like minecraft, one loves pokemon, 2 love my little pony, 3 love num noms, 3 love shopkins. The only things they all like, that i can guarantee they will all play with are lego and playmobil.

Shopkins
Doh Vinci art studio
Card craft set (galt do a couple or shopkins have one)
Djeco glitter boards / art stuff
Galt nail designer stuff (lots of other makes)
Blo pens activity sets (dd really wants these but the reviews are variable)
Stationery, glitter pens, bits and bobs from Claire's or accessorize.

Reading back my post, I must stress I don't work for either galt or shopkins Grin these are things I've got in dd's Amazon list that she's either seen and mentioned or I've seen recommended.

Smiggle things - you can get two boxes of novelty rubbers for £5.
