Don't worry guys my budget is very small too. DD is getting the best presents the rest of the family are getting whatever is on offer at tk maxx
love it!
Roller skates, helmet and pads.
Mario olympics for the wii
Art stuff
Books
We bought the Wii game pre-owned and the books came in sets from The Book People, so it wasn't too hard to stay within budget.
I haven't actually started shopping yet, but top of DD(10)'s wish list is a hot glue gun
- she is very into craft and already has a sewing machine.
I expect she will also want more Monster High stuff, but she got a load for her birthday recently, so I'm not sure what's left to get...
Otherwise, probably some Lego (Ninjago or Monster Hunters, or possibly one of the architectural/famous buildings sets), almost certainly some books (I think there are a few Robert Muchamore ones she hasn't got yet), maybe some CDs or DVDs, and probably some clothing. She's in that tweeny stage of wanting toys and more teenagey stuff.
DD (8):
In-line skates, as hers have fallen apart
Michael Morpurgo box set
Some grisly books about vampires
Gangsta Granny
Socks
Terrible Tudors jigsaw
Beano annual
That's it, thus far!
3b1g phew, I was beginning to feel like scrooge, my budget is similar to yours!

An xbox and kinect.
Dance central.
New board games.
Pair of vans.
Hoodie (not sure which yet)
A few onesies.
Clothes.
Accessories for her laptop.
Books.
A craft hamper.
She has never liked dolls or playsets.
I like the sewing basket idea, will try to remember that one for her 9th birthday next summer.

2 Fetlocks Hall books
3 Cornelia Funke books (the ones for younger girls)
