cineman vouchers, so that she and her 4 and 7yos can have a family afternoon in the cinema. Which I think is a brilliant idea. However, the cinema near us is tiny and limited to what it shows - this week and next it's Happy Feet, Sherlock holmes and puss in boots. But it's in a nic location for a wander round town etc first. Other cinemas are 20/30 minute drive away, in shopping centres, but presumably have a full range of films. Which do you think would be better?

With the exception of taking the dcs to the baby screening of Toy Story 3 I have not set foot in a cinema for years. I've never been to any of the other cinemas, mostly because it is so expensive when you add in travel, length of time you will be out of the house and therefore probably having to feed the children while out and so on. I suppose if you gave vouchers for one of the ones further away then it makes that sort of outing more affordable. On the other hand who wouldn't want to go see Puss in Boots! Or maybe just Gala vouchers, there is a Julia Donaldson thing on in April, perfect age for the 4 year old and I doubt the 7 year old would be above it either.

ooh is that at the theatre? Yes gala vouchers would be a good idea - I was thinking of grabbing a few "what's on" leaflets as well.
