Bosinver Farm Cottages, Cornwall

"We spent two carefree weeks here last summer. What a treat of a holiday. The kids were happy and the most free we have ever seen them, enjoying the beautiful meadows and fields, hugging the sheep and enjoying the outside play areas every day (even on our one day of rain as they loved it so much!). They adored the pony rides, loved animal feeding and Farmer Dave even gave the boys a ride on his tractor, which was a highlight!"

Coombe Mill, Cornwall

"This is such a wonderful place to visit. It has everything a child (and their parents) could possibly wish for! There's enough on site to entertain everyone, from indoor and outdoor BBQs to play areas for younger and older children, plus a river - not to mention the train and the farm animals. It's a beautiful setting too. Highly recommend." Redpeffer

Three Gates Farm, Devon

"A truly wonderful and homely place to spend your holiday. The facilities at Three Gates Farm are superb, with a gorgeous swimming pool being at the top of the list. It's perfect for enjoying a warm family swim, whatever the weather!

"Letting your children feed the chickens is a must... we were there every morning! The cottage was immaculate everywhere and so well equipped, we wanted for nothing."

North Hayne Farm Cottages, Devon

"What a perfect place to holiday! North Hayne is ideal for all ages and offers so much more than just a self-catering holiday. From the moment we set foot on site we were greeted with a warm welcome, cream tea and all our pre-ordered shopping had been put away for us.

"Our cottage was fully equipped with everything we needed and nothing was too much trouble. There is plenty to keep young and older visitors entertained with the play barn, play areas, private hot tub, on-site beauty and relaxation treatments and of course the fabulous farm!"

Middlewick Holiday Cottages, Somerset

"This is a gem of a place. Charming cottages provide a relaxing comfortable base to explore the gorgeous country side with the Tor a short fun walk with stunning views just behind our cottages. The indoor pool was a welcome relief when it was raining. My girls loved feeding the animals with Jill the owner who was hospitable and welcoming.

"We're looking forward to returning in the summer and enjoying pizza nights thanks to the open air oven. A place to relax, make friends or retreat in to the stunning landscape."

The Bowling Green Apartment, Carisbrooke Castle, Isle of Wight

"My 11-year-old thought it would be a holiday village in the castle and then he realised that when the tourists had gone, it was just us! He was free to roam the battlements, bat spot and re-enact every battle that a wee boy has ever dreamt of!

The accommodation was first rate with quality appliances and everything needed for a stay - serving dishes, bread baskets - you name it they had it." Matisse

Bluestone National Park Resort, Pembrokeshire

"What more can I say about Bluestone? I'm a huge fan and have been six times already. The kids just love it, and there's so much to do, not only for them but for the parents as well.

"The Blue Lagoon waterpark, a slight walk away, has huge changing rooms and little pools for the kids (plus big slides for the dads - ha ha). The indoor Adventure Centre has a Lego room, a bouncy castle, ride-on tractors, a ball pool - so there's loads to do if the weather is bad."

Haven Kiln Park, Tenby

"There's lots of stuff for the kids to do, with great little swimming pool and outside playground. We were very impressed with how tidy and neat the park was, and the children were delighted with being so close to the beach. There's plenty to do in Tenby town too, and it's definitely worth making the trip to Caldey Island but go early and call ahead to make sure the boats are running."

Stable Cottage Farmhouse, Kent

"The accommodation is immaculate, and the views are beautiful. There's so much to do, - we especially enjoyed the tennis, the zip wire and seeing all the animals, from rabbits to ponies. We felt very relaxed here, and the owners are so friendly. Among the woods are little tree houses; it's a child's paradise." Oliver2009

Haven Seaton Sands, East Lothian

"This park is in a lovely location right next to the beach and is the perfect size. The accommodation is spacious and modern, the entertainment complex is brand new and the programme of activities is phenomenal! Children will be busy from start to finish. The evening entertainment is top class, plus there's a softplay area, and the playground is also very good. The restaurant is lovely, food good and reasonably priced." Sharond101
