February half-term holiday deals

We've rounded up some of the best half-term holiday deals in the UK and abroad, if you're longing for a change of scene or some winter sun.

Forest CottageSelf-catering cottages

Cottages4you, New Forest, Hampshire

Cottages4you has seven nights in Forest Cottage in Burnley within the New Forest National Park. The cottage sleeps six across three bedrooms. It is set down a private track, but the village centre is just less than a mile away, with pubs, tea rooms and a village store.

It's an ideal place for enjoying the New Forest, with miles of beautiful walks from your doorstep, or explore the surrounding area by car, or on bicycle along the many cycle paths. Further afield but well worth a trip are Monkey World and the Tank Museum near Wool.

Cottages4you, Bembridge

February half-term is a good time to visit the Isle of Wight: the attractions will start opening and it's much quieter and cheaper than Easter or the early summer school holidays. Just remember to pack your hats.

Cottages4you has seven nights at Oseny Cottage in Bembridge. The cottage sleeps six in three rooms and is located on the edge of Bembridge village, only 500 yards from the National Trust windmill. It has access to scenic walks along the Heritage coastline to the sea. Dinosaur Isle is a 12-minute drive away and Robin Hill Country Adventure Park is about a 25-minute drive.

Cottages4you, Suffolk: £243, 18 February

Spend a four-night break in Sea Pearl in Pakefield, near Lowestoft. The cottage sleeps five in three bedrooms and is just 150 yards from Pakefield beach. The cottage is well located for exploring Suffolk's attractions, such as Lowestoft, and there are opportunities for windsurfing, fishing and sailing. For family fun, Pleasurewood Hills theme park and Africa Alive Wildlife Park are nearby.
