Starting to plan your February half-term break? Here's a round-up of recommended days out, activity camps and great family events across the UK, to keep children
busy happy throughout the school holidays
Half-term activities in Greater London
There’s loads to do in central London and surrounding boroughs this half-term. The Imagine Children’s Festival at the South Bank Centre is free and suitable for children up to age 12. Pickled Pepper Books in Crouch End is running comic making workshops, and the YMCA Holiday Club in Kingston has a great range of activities for children up to seven years old.
Half-term activities in Kent and the South East
Younger children will love the In A Pickle theatre experience in Canterbury, and older kids can spend the day meeting magnificent birds of prey at Betteshanger Park, Deal. Over in Surrey, the popular Kids Camp is back at Camberley Mall for half-term fun.

Have a curious child? Help them engage with STEM subjects at Nottingham’s Festival of Science and Curiosity. There’s more creative family fun to be found at Nottingham Contemporary, with free drop-in workshops all week, and kids can learn about Anglo Saxon life and culture at Birmingham Museum’s interactive drama, Buried History.
Half-term activities in Cambridge and the East of England
In Cambridge, budding inventors can join the Fab Science crew to learn about crazy colour chemistry, while budding artists will enjoy the half-term workshops at the Wysing Art Centre. In Hertfordshire, there's plenty of fun to be had when Willows Farm kicks off its February Frolics half-term event.
Half-term activities in Yorkshire and the North
Join your children for a Wild and Muddy Adventure with a free one-day event at the Moston Fairway Nature Reserve. For those who prefer their activities indoors, Superstars has a wide range of sports and dance holiday clubs across Manchester this half-term – and over in Leeds, there’s an imaginative play session for under fives at City Varieties Music Hall.
Half-term activities in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland
The Edinburgh Leisure half-term holiday club is running Monday to Friday – book for a day or get a discount if you book the whole week. In Cardiff, you can enjoy an 18-hole jungle trek through the Treetop Adventure Golf course. And if you're in and around Belfast, plan a wonderful day out at Colin Glen Forest's St Patricks Community Fun Day.
