Is anyone else a forever living business owner

I just wondered if anyone else is part of forever living? I recently joined as a business owner and love it. I started on maternity leave as I didn't want to return to my teaching post. I've returned part time for now whilst I build up the business as I know it will take time and effort but the training and support is good so I know I'll achieve it. The products are also great has anyone tried them?

Unless you're willing to contact everyone you know to get them to join your team, you will not make money from this.

They say there are no targets, but if you have a team and want to be paid on them, you need to do at least 4cc's per month.

You will have to put through at least £159 wholesale on your ID no and then recruit at least 2 people a month to achieve that or if you can get people to buy from you then 4cc is £636 wholesale. Thats a lot of money if you can't get customers. Or you just don't do your 4cc and don't get paid on your team.

Don't forget anyone who buys from you gets a 60 day money back guarantee, if they're not satisfied and want their money back, you're the one who has to foot the bill. Forever will not give you the money back, they will only supply you with more product to cover the cost. So if your customer bought the c9, you have to give them £108 back, return the used C9 to Forever and they will only send you a new C9 for you to try and retail again and if you don't, then you're down the money.

Then like siwi says there's all the success day tickets and travel which come out of your money too and then time away from your family.

Anyone who wants to join, please ask as many questions as you can and think long and hard about it. There is a lot you won't find out until you join

My mum does it. She has a separate fb for her forever stuff so that she doesn't annoy her fb friends with forever posts. Personally I like the products and use many of them. I wish you luck op. Xx

A friend on FB does FL and that's all she ever posts its really annoying tbh!
Another friend does herbalife and for a while I bought from her but I found it didn't really work and I felt so guilty telling her I was going to stop buying it! All she does is go on about it too. I don't really see the point in it all!

How much does it cost to be a forever living 'business owner'?

You have to spend about £150 on aloe stuff for personal use.
'Success days' cost £25.

How often do you need to attend 'Business Presentations' and 'Team Sizzles'?

How much do you spend on petrol and other expenses?

Taking these costs into account, how much is your hourly rate?

Op - happy to give you some advice about private tuition ( it is what I do) if you are interested. I think you are more likely to make money from that ( although not loads tbh) than FL!

if you don't do it, someone else will take it I've heard the same said about
many forms of morally reprehensible activities, it doesn't make them any more decent or justifiable.

No, but I am an actual business owner if that helps?
The difference is I'm happy to tell people what I do instead of just saying " I'll pm you Hun" and I don't take my laptop to Costa or into my garden all the time
And I actually get paid for providing a service with tangible benefits rather than by suckering in other people.

Is Forever Living the one that's like a cult based around Aloe Vera?

OP - if you don't want to go back to teaching full time, wouldn't it be more profitable (and better professionally) to set up a proper business offering private tuition? You could still work around your new baby you'd earn a decent income and have a sense of a job well done.

You do not own or run a business. You act as a distributor and can build a team. People who own and run businesses cannot be 'promoted', by others, to stupid titles.

The only way to make real money with these things is to keep recruiting others, that is your main goal and how your money is made. Hence it being a legal form of pyramid scheme, for now...

Honestly, you can do much better. Try and find something before they brainwash you and you irritate every person you know.

You'll need these:

Cos every FL post on FB I've seen has a fucking ridiculous amount of them.

It's a cult.

It preys on vulnerable people.

You gave up a teaching job for this?

There are
Some training videos that I've had to turn of after a few minutes because it's brainwashing. The training that's about the products is worthwhile and I actually think I learnt something from them.

What is it with the FL invasion today? Resurrected zombie thread earlier, now this one?

Although OP you do seem quite nice with it Wink

I know someone who is very successful with FL because she has a massive team. However to get to this stage ok years and years of networking and driving around the country to train people. With two young children she's had her sister looking after them. It's not all sitting in pjs on the sofa growing a business like they'd love you to believe.
Another friend tried it and got nowhere as she wasn't willing to exploit friendships to get leads. The training/coaching to increase teams/sales etc is quite brainwashing as my TA told me last wk (her future DIL is part of it).

There are very few ways to earn money while sitting at home, it's part of the propaganda of pyramid schemes. And doing the thing where you don't sell the stuff yourself is pure pyramid, you get money from recruiting others into the scheme rather than from selling the actual products.

No-one can keep recruitment going over a long period of time, once you have all your friends and family doing it (assuming you manage that) you will run out of people to recruit. All the people on the website with the white Mercedes or whatever probably did do really well, but only for a short time.

Enjoy your baby but don't pin your hopes (or put your money) on this sort of scheme.

Hi Dione I have a number of customers who use the products but have not gone down the route of team building. I know people who do and as people have posted above I'm not keen on the hard sell and certainly don't want to annoy friends with it unless I genuinely feel they will benefit x

Thank you. I guess other sellers have provided the company with a bad name. Not sure why I deserve the ear bashing I've had a bad day as it is but never mind thank you all for replying x

Honestly, I think if you want to talk about your 'business' you will be better talking about it with other 'business owners' who are like minded brainwashed. I think you'll find that almost everyone else is pretty cynical about your ability to make any long term success out of this, and they intensely dislike any system where someone makes a living out of pressuring and guilt tripping and hard selling to their own friends and family as a springboard to making wider contacts.

But good luck, anyway.

Blimey, you've attracted some hostile replies..... Hmm

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you didn't start this thread in a misguided attempt to drum up business.

I don't do FL but ran a Phoenix Cards business (yes, a business, and very profitable too) for several years, which is much the same concept. It isn't a scam OR pyramid selling, by the way... but agree you need to be careful not to make yourself very unpopular selling to friends. FL isn't my cup of tea, don't like the product, but I wish you luck.
