I am so excited that this is coming to Australia - I will hopefully be attending.

Anyone else?

First rule of misogyny:

Women are responsible for what men do.

All women allowed to speak and not be rough handled by men? Challenging views should be allowed to be heard. I take it this woman is opposed to KJK?

I am watching something where KJK confirms this is a man.

No, it's a female. Kellie-Jay says "I don't know who she is" at 28.20 in the livestream video.

Several people on Twitter have confirmed that it was, in fact, a man. He may have been trans and because of how fast it happened, the initial reaction was ‘she’ based on hair/clothing. I don’t precisely know as I wasn’t there. Why don’t you go on Twitter and ask, if you are so bothered by it.

Why are you shit stirring here on Mumsnet and trying to discredit the incredibly brave women who spoke up about their sex based rights? Nasty!!

The Nazis were there for the antifa, not KJK.

Men turning up to fight other men whilst women are trying to do something that doesn't involve them.

Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose

In this convo she unequivocally confirms it was a man.

It's a great tour, there have been fantastic speakers at each event.

Shocking things I've learnt?

Government materials discussing the sexuality of BABIES !

Victoria passing a law that means parents who try to protect their children (or therapists who try to look at the wider picture and actually - you know - do some therapy) can be fined $250,000 plus ten years in prison.

Who the hell dreamed that up? They really, really want to get at the children don't they. And break up families. Beat down safeguards - which start with the family.
And Western Australia is looking to bring in the same law.

Utterly shocking.

Thank goodness Kelly Jay has made it over there to give women a chance to speak and get these things out into the open.

Ah.

No wonder Kellie was was so determined to get to Australia.

And now I realise why TRAs were soooo desperate to stop her.

There's no way ordinary Australians are going to put up with the government writing about the sexualities of their babies and facing crippling fines to stop their children being sterilised.

What people like Mishy have always failed to grasp is that the TRA generated publicity that KJK attracts, is something she capitalises on.

Idiot TRAs being wrestled to the ground for violence, then screaming and swearing as scared children walk past blocking their ears, and <snort> trying to make out that neo-Nazis are promoting women's rights activists, are all inadvertent grist to her unstoppable mill.

Kellie knows exactly what it's like to be called anti-trans and have unfavourable publicity. She was banned from every social media platform there was, ffs.

This is not her first rodeo. She knows what is happening and is determined to highlight it.

TRAs helping her do that is just another foot shooting exercise from their Big Book of Why I Keep Losing Toes.

This person ran up to the stage area, ripped the microphone from a woman who was giving a speech and started screaming into it. One woman was apparently knocked unconscious and another had bruises all over her leg.

You have an awful lot of sympathy for the hurt feelings of aggressors invading women’s spaces. I wonder why?

Hahaha!! If that doesn't just sum up the entire idiocy!

What a shower.

It's the same kind of biased rhetoric in the Australian press that we used to see over here in the UK a couple of years ago. Everything being framed as anti-trans rather than pro-woman. It's disgusting, and it proves the point that far too many people refuse to see women as distinct from men - we're not even allowed to be defined unless it's in relation to men's needs and wants. There needs to be some strong pushback on the established narrative.

And as for the neo-nazis.... same thing happened when women opposed PIE back in the 70's The National Front turned up - were women supposed to stop protesting against PIE?

Wow, that Mail article is quite something, referring to women’s rights protesters as “anti-trans” throughout. Interesting that I have become used to the gradual changes in the UK press, where that kind of anti-woman bigotry is now much less prevalent.

Thank you Quinn for the lesson from history. There are far too many men, dressed in black, with masked faces turning up at women’s rallies. Whatever KJK says or doesn’t say, she will be condemned, so I presume that’s why she stays silent. She is there to #LetWomenSpeak and that is what she does.

She'd be wasting her time trying to argue with the women who demand she denounces the far-right every other day. KJK has enough to say without playing that game - and it IS a game.

It's a bad tactic to spend too much time arguing. Far more productive to actually get out there and say what needs to be said, or what you want to say. I remember the days when we did nothing but try and defend and counter - it got us nowhere, and we couldn't get a firm footing.

It's just absolute NONSENSE. I think it's fair enough to challenge someone on things they're saying or doing, but we are only responsible for our own words and actions. It wasn't her wearing all black, wearing a mask, and doing the salute thing. Did she give them the mic? No, she did not! Did she shout, 'thanks for coming lads, see you again next week'? Nope.

Women's right to dignity and own space is hugely important. There will be so many men (and women) who agree, and some will have some less than savoury reasons for wanting to support this issue. There's not a lot that can be done about that.

And yet again, we're in a position where in-fighting will dominate the discussion FOR DAYS and the serious matters - a woman being assaulted, a woman having the mic snatched from her hand, the stuff that was thrown...the TRA's being violent, in other words... NOTHING EVER GETS SAID ABOUT THAT. Honestly, if all the socfems are going to do is police the speech and action of women who actively go out there to raise awareness - they might as well just stfu and fottfsof and then some. They're as good as useless.

QuinnLovesEris · 18/03/2023 12:30

Still ranting.... it's not even stuff she's said or done; they're expecting her to take responsibility for random men. How is that even remotely feminist?

And you have again dismissed the violence towards the women you disagree with.

This person raced up and ripped the microphone out of someone’s hands.

And you are here dismissing that action and positioning this person as ‘the victim’.
