According to Tanya's Twitter, she was in a psychiatric ward for most of last year, and issues seem to go back longer. I am not sure that she is all that well. I am not sure Labour women's officer is the best role for her.

Wowza. Following that I looked up their profile, the screenshot tweet is from 19/8 and it’s not there now.
The full name on the profile is actually ‘Tanya Love (Women’s Officer Telford Labour Party)’.

Ah here’s why.
Tanya made explicit and offensive comments to Hope Lye (Hope Pink). Hope reported to Telford Labour Party and got no response. Tanya has now been made a Woman’s Officer hence Hope sharing the screenshots.

Isn't it the time of year when the constituency Labour parties are electing their officers for the year? From my experience of volunteering, there are lots of cases where the only person to volunteer gets elected whether they're suitable for the job or not. I wonder if this was one.

A little bit of digging later unearths a letter to the Daily Star back in July to which Love is one of the signatories, describing themselves as "former secretary, South Telford Labour Party" - so no longer on the books, for whatever reason.

Ironic that one of the acts of transphobia the letter draws attention to is "using the wrong pronouns" when one of the signatories invites "terfs" to choke on their "lady cock". Talk about cognitive dissonance.
(For information: my use of "their" is not cognitive dissonance, it is enforced compliance, so that my post does not get deleted. It does not indicate any actual belief on my part in this crazy ideology.)

I just don't get this. How is it that people like Posie Parker are being kicked off Twitter, FB and Mumsnet for expressing an opinion, but the abusive language and threats of TRAs are allowed to stand? That these people are being elevated to positions of power? It makes me feel sick with fear for my rights and my daughter's.

Yup, that's about the size of it, Fekko. You can say anything you want about or to a woman on twitter - death threats, torture threats, rape threats, dismemberment threats. It will not be deleted. Because blokes are people and women are not in the twitter verse.
But try misgendering someone ... kaboom, banhammer.
Because women non-persons are not allowed to disrespect men persons.

They are aggressive because they are men. I work with trans regularly in hospital years ago and a lot of the trans women were aggressive. Sweeping generalisation I know but enough was noted to have all of us nurses talking about it.
I'm not a nurse any more by the way.

How on earth are political parties continuing to use (mostly young) people who clearly have serious psychiatric problems to signal their 'wokeness' ?
There's no way they aren't aware of the potential problems by now.
It also seems like people who don't do twitter are oblivious to it all.

If this isn’t a call go arms for women in all political parties to stand for positions, all positions, any positions, but particularly women’s officers (and if relevant, LGBT officer positions) then I don’t know what is.
LGBT officer is currently vacant in my CLP because no one wanted it last AGM...
