Stubborn 10lb

Ingridla · 29/07/2020 13:30

As I suspect many women in their 40s may struggle with, I have a stubborn bastard 10lb I really struggle to shift. Tbh I'd be happy with half of it gone but I just cannot do it. I'm 5'5 and 10st.

Any tips HUGELY GRATEFULLY received.

Great plan!!

I only exercise with the weights 20 mins a day, sometimes split into two if I'm busy, I cant believe how much strength I've gained! And cardio wont make too much difference so it's fine if you dont have time for that.

But squats, burpees, mountain climbers, ab exercises, dumbbells if you have some, and maybe a 10 min HIIT youtube workout you like with even just 30 sec reps will really help you build muscle and then you will burn more kcal too. It will come off! So much harder when you've lost the majority and you're so right it very easily creeps back.

Thanks both, it creeps on and before I know it I'm 7lb up, I find it hard to exercise regularly being a single mum of a 4yr old, I'm constantly knackered!

I'm going to give it a real push over the coming weeks. Low carb, good fats, tonnes of fresh veg. I'll let you know how I go.

I did it but it was tougher than the rest of my weight loss, you have to get yourself in the right mindset.

I ate entirely clean and tracked my macros, upping protein and eating less carbs. I tracked kcals and ate no more than 1200kcals a day, and started lifting weights 6 days a week. The last 10lbs fell off in 6 weeks. But I was super strict, no booze, no snacks, no 'treats' and I upped my running too.

You can do it! I'm short so you personally may need more kcals. Best of luck. :)

@Ingridla Hello, what does a typical day's food/drink/exercise look like at the moment? Had the weight gone on gradually or since lockdown?
