What is your ideal weight at 5.3?

Saw a similar thread on here regarding a taller height.

I’m a size 10/8 and 9 stone, I personally look and feel better around 8.5 stone but boy does it take some effort to get rid of the 0.5!

What about you?

5’2” and ideal weight is 8st 5lbs. Been a while since I was that weight, I find keeping the last 7lbs really tough so 8st 12lbs is where I’m happiest.

Tiny bit under 5 foot 4

Currently 9 stone 5, was 8 stone 9, ideal would be 8 stone 7. It’s not distributed evenly, I have tiny wrists, calves and shoulders, then carry all my weight on my hips and thighs.

Gosh. I am four months post pregnancy and heaviest ever. I am 5 ft 2 and 15 stone :( I was 12 before pregnancy and cannot seem to shift the dial stall at the moment .... I like to between 8.5-9.10 but haven’t been there for a couple of years now . It’s a constant yo yo for me... my weight is my Achilles heal

I’m good at 9st. I have been 8.7 and that was fine too.
I was 9st pre lockdown now 9.5!!

I'm 5.3 and used to be 66kg so about 10 and a half stone then lost weight following some health scares for pre- diabetes and other issues. I got down to 49kg so 7 stone 10 but now put some weight on following lockdown so up to 54kg 8 stone 7.

I look best at 10 4 and I'm 5ft 3. I need it especially for my face. People never believe I'm this weight, always think I'm less. My sister is the same height and is a stone lighter than me but looks heavier. I don't know how I carry weight, I do have a big chest though.

Pre-pregnancy, & in my late 20s, I was 8.7 stone & fit in a shop size 6-8. I put bloody loads on during pregnancy (& have become disabled) & at pushing 40 I am now around the 11st mark. Goodness knows what size I am really, due to vanity sizing I fit in a shop size 12 but according to dressmaking patterns I'm closer to an 18. I did, briefly, get down to 9st but was unable to maintain it as I can't keep an exercise routine. I can only lose weight if I stick rigidly to under 1000 calories a day, every day, & really limit the refined carbs. Even better on 800 a day. After lockdown is eased & DD is back at school I'm going to try again, especially now I know I can stick to 800 a day. The secret is homemade vegetable soup, every day. Aiming for 8.7 - 9st.

I’m 5’2 and 9 stone, 9lbs - have lost 4lbs recently. My ideal weight is 9stone.

I’m finding it a very slow process to lose weight - although I’m over 40 so maybe it’s to be expected.

I'm 5'2, and I look my best about about 8 stone and a half stone. I got up to about 10 stone, and looked okay, but had a belly on me, and you could definitely see it on my face.

It's interesting to see many similar answers! 5'3", a lockdown 9st and size 10-12 (tend to be bigger on top) ideal is 8 1/2, more generally I float around 8 3/4 unless a holiday or event spurs me on! 8st and a size 8 is a dream I'm unlikely to ever see as I like my food too much.

I'm 5ft 4in and currently 10st and a bit. I look MUCH better at around 9st but it feels unachievable right now, and I don't have much motivation or willpower sadly

I'm 5'3 and currently 8.12, aiming for 8 again. I miss the old me and how my body used to feel.

I'm about 5'1, maybe 5'2. I've never been slimmer than 9st 10lbs and that was real effort to get there! Still considered overweight, though. I think 10st 2lbs or thereabouts is the weight my body could easily be, but I'm hoping to go down to around 9st.

9.7 is perfect for me. Last time I was that weight was eight years ago. Currently 11 Stone and I feel huge!

I’m a little taller. Ideal weight 8 st 7 - 8 st 10. Current weight 9st 3.
‘Current’ should read ‘permanent’.
I too find losing 7 pounds incredibly slow. Disincentive is I look and fell ok as I am but boy do I feel lighter and fitter under 9 stone (if I remember correctly that is).

Quackersandcheese3 · 11/06/2020 15:35

I’m 5’1. Weigh 10 and half stone. I feel I need to lose a stone but I’ve always been around 10 st before the kids . So even at my fittest I was still considered overweight.

Lifesbetterwithwine · 11/06/2020 15:28

I’m 5’3”

In my teens and 20s I was around 8 st
In my 30s (Post children) I was around 9st.
In my 40s I was anywhere between 9st -10st.
I am now 50 and currently weigh 10st 5.

Ideally I would like to be 9st 7lb but I’m refusing to diet anymore and am trying to eat intuitively instead. I cook from scratch, eat a mainly plant based diet, naturally intermittent fast as I don’t eat breakfast, walk everywhere, run 3 times a week and weight train a couple of times a week. I’ve got a feeling 10st plus is now my ‘natural’ set point weight and as long as I’m healthy, that’s ok.Smile
