What’s the point? :(

I feel a complete and utter failure.

I have worked SO so hard this and scales this morning said only HALF a pound down :(

I just don’t see the point anymore tbh

I eat 1300-1400 cals per week. Diet mainly protein and some healthy fats, hardly any carbs.

I have injury’s so I can’t do hiit workouts but I power walk every morning while pushing toddler in pushchair for as long as I can. However I think I’m even going to have to cut back on that now seeing as my hip is starting to play up.

I am a 35 year old female and I weight 11’0 and a half. And I’m 5 feet 7

I successfully lost 9 pounds since the end of April, so why now is everything slowed down?

I want to get to 10 stone as this is what I was 5 years ago.

Please please help, what am I doing wrong? Any advice welcome! 🙏🏻

I’m not due on a period until 1 days so I shouldn’t be bloated but I feel so huge and I honestly look in the mirror and hate myself at the moment I just want to cry

As you have less to lose, your weight loss will slow and start to plateau, even if you’re doing things that used to make you lose more.

Things to try:

Google Low impact exercises you can do from home; or “exercises for people with [your injury]”.
Are you strictly weighing out ALL your food? Counting every single mouthful? Even if it’s “just a crisp”?

Also please be kinder to yourself. You are within the healthy BMI so you are getting there, and you’ve grown and given birth to another life so try to give yourself some slack on how you compare your body to how it was 5 years ago. It WILL have changed, especially if you can’t exercise in the traditional ways.

Falling into despair and self hatred often just leads to thinking “fuck it” and giving up. If you accept that it’s going to take longer to get to the “perfect” weight and that you’re more making changes for life, then you’ll get there eventually.

Keep going! Sounds like you have made amazing progress so far. If you have any bags of flour or similar, weigh out 9 lb and imagine that is all fat that is no longer on your body. And any more than 9 lbs in a month is a bit too fast so you’re losing at a good rate at the moment. It will continue to come off.
