Curious... what diet or lifestyle change was the game changer for you in terms of weight loss? How much did you lose? And have you kept it off? Looking for motivation Smile

A hot guy starting at my work. Instant willpower, I stopped bingeing on chocolate that very day. Cut out all the extra crap I'd been eating but kept pretty much to the same three meals a day I'd always ate. Added in loads of walking. Lost two stone.

Turns out hot guy is a mouth breathing, heavy smoking, closet racist boy racer, but I'm never going back. Love the new me!

High fat low carb in conjunction with regular yoga classes and light weights at the gym. Lost loads, kept it off with intermittent HFLC or calorie counting, felt great.

Then over summer I hurt myself so had to stop exercising as much and sadly since sept was constantly ill with that cold/flu type thing and so never got back into my regular exercise routine. Stupidly I also went back to eating all the sugary treats and carbs even though I could see I was gaining again. A few pounds crept on. Gained just over half a stone at Christmas as well, which I really need to sort out, but I've now done my back in and can't do much! I'm so frustrated at myself. If I'd kept to HFLC and just had limited (or no) sugary things I think I'd have been fine without the workouts, but I was really stupid to push my luck.

The realisation that its portion control that's my downfall. I now batch cook and portion everything else. I don't buy big packets of stuff as if it's open I'll eat it all. For example I won't buy a standard pack of Oreos but I will buy the 'lunchbox' ones which are portioned into two biscuits.

I'm also completely anal about using my fitness pal - although I relax it on the weekend.

Also I found exercise that I enjoy (a team sport)!

Running and (moderate) low carbing. I lost 3 stone quite quickly and then have kept it off for 18 months. There's been times when either food/running hasn't been great but the one seems to carry the other.

Good plan 👍🏼 I've found lentil cakes (like rice cakes) are good with peanut butter or marmite

As soon as I’m in from work I’m ravenous and tired and can fall off the wagon at that point

Try to keep something planned for that point.

Snacking is my downfall too (and sugar Cake)... I try to snack on nuts if I absolutely have to, but prob overdo it with those too

Cut out mindless snacking. Haven't really changed what I eat at mealtimes. Lost a stone and kept it off for a year.
