Trying to lose weight after gallbladder removal

Hi
I had my gallbladder out over 2 years ago and have since put on about 2 stone.
I was overweight to start with and now weigh nearly 14 stone.
I seem to constantly thi k about food and am always hungry. I've tried fasting and low carb/high fat but this seems to make my stomach really bad.
I get a gnawing pain whenever I'm hungry (I think it's bile in the stomach as gallbladder not there to store it)
I'm desperate to lose the weight, but my head goes in a spin about which way to do it.
Any advice much appreciated.

I second speaking to your GP about the bike issue if they can help.

Completely not a medical diagnosis, but it sounds a bit like you’re worried about feeling hungry - almost like you don’t want your stomach to be empty in case the bile collects in the stomach?

There’s some ways of eating out there that promote eating more often - so will have 5 smaller meals spaced out across the day rather than 3 main ones. I don’t have experience of it but people that get on with it report it helps with the hunger concerns. Do you think this could help?

I have never heard of gall bladder affecting weight. Lots of people who have gastric bypass have tgeir gall bladders out and they lose shit load of weight as their stomach is so tiny.

obviously speak to your gp. There are suppliments to help gall bladder and bile.

Keep a food diary, you will be surprised.

Try focusing more on exercise than dieting, you don’t have to go on extreme diets to lose weight, just try to stay away from sugar/bad fats and add more fruit/veg into your food. Staying active is the key
