Joe wicks - does this weight loss plan work?

I'm trying to lose weight by cutting calories and upping my step count and getting some gym classes in and wondering if it would be worth getting the joe wicks books for some exercise books to use at home? I already have all the hairy dieters recipe books and like, and use, those - are the recipes similar? Would it be worth getting them? I saw a tv programme a while ago which said the recipes work out really expensive as a way of eating.

For reasons, I'm not the one doing a lot of the cooking (evening meals) so I'm hoping I can eat a small portion of whatever is the main meal and focus on low carb (ish) and low calorie options out and about.

I personally love his books they are very easy and quick recipes.
I actually found it cheaper than how I usually buy food but I’m terrible for eating out.
The low carb meals are great.
I feel like it’s sustainable if you make the changes permanent.
Obviously if you go back to the way you were eating afterwards then you will end up the same way.
I like the things he makes they are appetizing to me maybe not for everyone.

Oh and in terms of cost, yes the first shop does cost a lot as you tend to need lots of things you don't already have like coconut flour and protein powder. We've been eating more chicken than usual to keep costs down.

I'm a member of the plan, joined after following the books for a while. The plan gives you the measurements you should be using for the food etc plus new recipes. The plan is now slightly different to that in the books.

The best part about the plan for me is that you get access to a closed Facebook group just for people on the paid plan. Joe Wicks posts nice motivational videos messages on there regularly in response to discussions which is a nice touch.

In terms of results, I'm three weeks in and feeling really great. Others who stick to the plan are also getting brilliant results - it's a mind shift though from weight loss to fat loss which aren't necessarily the same thing. Also, the people with greater amounts to lose are obviously not shifting all of it during the 90 days, it's a longer term thing for those people. I'm really pleased with it, but the food prep does take time to get used to. You also need to be able to commit to 30 mins exercise 4-5 times a week.

Sorry forgot to say, you'd need to eat all the meals not just 2 a day then what you want in the evening, it's not about quantity it's about macros (fats, carbs, proteins) that are calculated to burn fat, so you would be wasting time and money to do it and not stick to it. It's not that expensive if you meal plan properly and shop at cheaper places for meat and veg .

The books are ok but you have to make sure you calculate the exact portions for your measurements or you could overeat. If you want really good results then sign up to the plan, it requires a lot of planning and commitment though, but I hear the work outs are shorter on the newer version. I looked the best I ever had after 3 months but found it to be unsustainable in the long run for my lifestyle.
