Uk hotels with outside pools

Appreciate availability will be an issue this year and any year weather may not be conducive. but setting that aside....

Have you stayed in a UK hotel with a lovely outside pool? Preferably one you can have a proper swim in, not just a plunge pool? No children with us so doesn't need to cater for them.
Generally stay in hotels around £100 per night (per room) but given how much we've not spent on holidays this year and last, would go up to £250 for something special for the odd night.

Thank you

We like decent outdoor pools too. We’ve had a nice stay at Luccombe Hall on the Isle of Wight, but we also liked the look of Haven Hall. We settled on Luccombe because it was slightly more family friendly, so you might prefer Haven Hall.
I’ve seen a good pool at The Nare in Cornwall, but we didn’t stay there because it was out of our price range. We managed to get a good package at Treganna Castle instead.
Lastly, I’d also recommend Dean’s Palace Hotel. Unfortunately we never got to use the pool due to bad weather, but the rest of the hotel was lovely.

Some fabulous suggestions, thank you everyone.

@Fivemoreminutes1 The Nare looks amazing but more than we would want to pay I think. If you meant Dean's Place (rather than Palace) in Alfriston - we were booked in there for a couple of nights but had to change our dates and they were fully booked - will definitely try there again another time

I’d second Saunton Sands in Devon. I’ve stayed there and it’s brilliant. I’m good weather the outdoor pool feels like you are abroad and the proximity to the beach is great. It would probably be at the top of your budget during summer time though (it’s too expensive for us, both times we’ve been my parents have paid).

Ardencote in Warwickshire has an outdoor pool, although I'm not sure how big it is.

May not be practical to get there this year, but the Merton Hotel in Jersey has a fabulous pool.

Rudds, Lulworth Cove could be up your street - you can also swim in Lulworth Cove, which is pretty special, especially if you go in a hot week and go either before or after the crowds arrive. There was another one in West Lulworth that looked good but can't remember its name (not part of the cove and its shops etc. itself but on a road going down to it, opposite white thatched cottages.

We went to the Merton last year and going back again in July. Boys loved the pool.

Just to add, very practical to get to Jersey this year, from 28th May it's hoped that anyone from England, Wales or Scotland can arrive freely with a free PCR test on arrival and a few hours isolation until result. No isolation with proof of having had both vaccine doses.

The Merton is fab with kids and the biggest for actual swimming, but without kids I'd say the Somerville, Cristina or La Place are nicer and more grown up Smile

In response to a previous post I used to work at the Feversham Arms years and years back and it's gorgeous!

This place in N Devon is lovely. You can hire a small cottage in the grounds within your budget and have access to the pool and 25 acres of grounds...

Woolacombe Bay Hotel in North Devon

The Osborne in Torquay - and loads more in Torquay do, but Osborne overlooks a beautiful bay.
