Hello, I'm looking for a hotel within a couple of hours drive of enniskillen with a pool for my four year old, nice views and walks for my husband and a spa for my MIL. We are visiting over Christmas and would like to take PIL away for a night as a treat. Everywhere suggested online is too far away, in Cork or Kerry etc. Any suggestions please!

The Slieve Donard in Newcastle, Co. Down is fantastic! Brilliant spa, right on the beach, golf, good local town to browse shops and cafes. I'm sure they will be doing something special for Christmas. www.hastingshotels.com/slieve-donard-resort-and-spa/?gclid=COHg3ebq78ECFXKWtAod5GIAmw

Google is your friend!
Several good hotels around Sligo is within an hours drive, Glenavon house hotel in Cookstown, and even some hotels on Donegal.
2 hours drive would take you to anywhere in northern Ireland including Belfast and Derry ... Also Donegal, Sligo and even Galway.

Renvyle house in Connemara is lovely, as is Harvey's Point in Donegal.

I haven't actually stayed in the Slieve Donard (since I was a child 30+ years ago) but have had a spa day and lunch there last year and it was fantastic. Really luxurious but relaxed at the same time. Great views and really friendly staff throughout.
It is on my hit list of places to go for a lovely weekend but as I live in Scotland now and only get back to Ireland to visit family it might be a while before I get there again Sad

Stormont in Belfast is nice.

Glenavon I wouldnt go it , its more a wedding hotel for the locals.

How about Bushmills Inn - doesn't have a spa though but on a lovely bit of coast.

Galgorm is lovely .

I second the Slieve donard. probably about 2 / 2.5 hours by car. Gateway town to the mournes for hiking. The town itself is a bit shabby but they are working on sprucing it up.

I came on to say the Slieve Donard. We stayed for a wedding in August and are hoping to return for a night away soon.

Also the manor house www.manorhousecountryhotel.com/

and the Galgorm (not been to this one)

Roe Park at Limavady

I second (third?) Slieve Donard. Very family friendly and some fantastic scenery and activities around.

A slightly less expensive but equally family friendly hotel we loved was the Roe Park Resort near Limavady. www.roeparkresort.com.

WipsGlitter Farnham Estate is beautiful, but not very family friendly alas. No under 16s allowed in the pool! Angry
