Help - no instructions for Paint your own Gnome

My DS was given one of these for Christmas - it has no instructions - anyone have any idea whether we are meant to cook it once we have painted it? It is ceramic. Having promised him we would do it this afternoon I can't really back track... Thanks!

We got one too and no, it didn't need cooking after!!
