My eight-year-old has gone on a a tidying spree. I think she might have been replaced by aliens.

My amazing but messy 8 year old has been replaced by what I assume is aliens. They must have cloned her.

Whilst I was putting her younger sister to bed, fake eldest tidied the lounge, loaded the dishwasher and wiped the surfaces and did her homework. Then she cleaned the stuff I'd dumped in the hallway and has reorganised stuff in the bathroom cupboards. Oh and sorted her room and made her bed. This is a child who throws a strop, cries and finds excuses when I ask her to tidy normally!!

I know I should look for my real child, but I think I let fake child finish blitzing the house first 😂.

She's tidied her entire room. I mean it's not perfect, the sides are a bit cluttered, but she's made a great effort.

She's a lovely child, but tidying isn't normally even a fleeting thought for her, apart from how to avoid it.

I'll enjoy it for the short while it lasts.

She's also suggested inviting a new girl in her class to her birthday party to help her make friends. She's awesome.

My twin 8yos like cleaning stuff with Fairy liquid and a sponge each. I once left them alone in our hallway for 5 mins.

Came back to empty washing up liquid bottle and snow scene with 2 giggling nitwits obscured amongst the foam.

Do you have any idea how much water it takes to rinse that stuff away????

How long did you take putting DC2 to bed?? Six hours?? I think it was you that got abducted by aliens as your time seems to have condensed compared to hers.

20 minutes, but she carried on afterwards. She's nocturnal only only goes to sleep at this time.

Have you found out what she wanted yet? DD11 occasionally freaks me out by doing stuff like this until she asks me for something (usually expensive) and then I breathe a sigh of relief and think "oh that's why you've suddenly been helpful/nice to your DB6/convinced me you've been abducted by aliens and replaced with a clone" 😂

Edited to add; absolutely enjoy it whilst it lasts as sadly it never seems to last very long!!

Never found out what she wanted, but she's definitely not a clone as I she did leave me a steaming turd in the toilet, so definitely her 😂
