My DCat had to be put to sleep after approx 10 weeks of sudden illness (epilepsy and swelling on the brain).

He was very close to me, DH, DC and also my DM who would come to check on him after his epilepsy was diagnosed.

was a very personable and chatty cat and a real character.

Buried him in garden with my other 2 cats and now sit out there in morning and night to feed fish but say hello to him.

I keep thinking I see him but it's just my eyes. He was only 5 (just turned 5 in April) hence why I was more upset.

Anyone have any advice? I'm hoping he's with the other cats or my departed friends/relatives in heaven.

Thanks for all the comments.

Guess what? Last night - after getting DH to do bedtime routine and neighbour got her DH to do same I went to a local yoga class which is behind my house but across a smallish long park. She has an indoor cat which has a cage in the garden (large - it's fine) anyway got speaking to the owner/yoga teacher mentioned my cat and showed a picture - and she's seen him a couple of times - I wasn't sure as he usually doesn't cross roads but can see he may wander.

So maybe that was a sign. Smile

Our little fur baby got run over when he was about 10 months old. The most placid and loveable cat we ever had ☹️. He used to sit on the chair in the window and after he passed if you ever sat on that chair you could always feel his presence around your hair and neck. Still miss him to this day and it's been over 20 years.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I can understand the devastation.

We lost our family border collie when I was 21 - I'm 38 now. We still talk about him. I lived with my parents for some years after. He wore a chain (it was the done thing then) and I heard it jangle for years afterwards. It might have been in my head but I would like to think he was letting us know he was ok. I'm sure he's with my grandad - they were inseparable.

I'm sure you will feel his presence around you xx

I am not really very woo at all but our d dog was pts 3 years ago aged 17. He had been by my side through some of the darkest times of my life and I loved him dearly. I was utterly heartbroken when he was gone. About a month later I went downstairs in the morning to make a cuppa and it was just like he was there, I heard his pitter patter plain as day and I bent down as if to stroke him, I felt all warm and fuzzy and just felt so contented. I honestly believe he had come to visit.
I'm sure your dcat will be with you still op.
