stupid weather, Suffolk show cancelled

I almost had to laugh at the official announcement from a certain local farmer and Suffolk show director about health and safety - in my car I am ALWAYS nearly hitting you on your horse, wear some hi-vis, you are big yes and so is your horse but you both blend into the landscape perfectly and are invisible until it is almost too late

We went to Suffolk yesterday and it just started to rain as we were leaving around 3pm. Ever since then it has been raining and blowing a gale. We're so sorry for the show organisers, the trade stands and the competitors. Just hope they made plenty of money yesterday (including from us who walked away with a huge metal cockeral for the garden!).

We were meant to be at an all day rally today,but that was cancelled due to the weather.Will have to take the girls out riding later as the ponies are very fed up stuck in the field.

I was meant to be working there today. We got there at 7.30, and the food tent, which is a massive, metal structure inside, was literally heaving in the wind. It was terrifying! I was so glad they cancelled. It was a good call from a safety stand point.

It is unutterably shite isn't it? DD and I have decided not to go to the Ledbury show on Sunday because the weather is looking grim and it is quite a drive for a couple of classes if we're going to get soaked and freezing .
