Carbon dioxide monitors

We finally recieved our monitors, there was enough for every other classroom so we picked our favourites, but does anyone know whether we are supposed to do daily readings, or an if alarm goes off if its too high as ours came with no instructions

We just plug them in and watch them change pretty colours across the day

ours all seem to read 666! But i dont know if thats high or low. Im guessing green is good

The only info we had was if they go over 1500ppm we should open a window, and instructions specifically said no need to leave the room. Doesn’t say what to do if that level is reached despite the windows being open or if there aren’t any to open though which has happened frequently in the rooms I use 😬

Ours generally turn red about 40 minutes after everyone arrives and then goes green about 15 mins after home time

Same here, I leave my door open so everyone in the school can gawp in and all windows open. It goes amber then red which I ignore un till a pupil says ‘Miss the light is red” and I say “ it’s ok , no one is going to die’ . We had them pre covid and they were always red. Waste of bloody money.

I think they are supposed to beep if it is too high? Mine goes red even with all the windows open!
