Self employed supply?

Hi all, I'm just finishing my PGCE but no job yet as there are so many trainees in my area. Looking like I'm going to do supply.

I'm wondering if, as I'm already registered self employed and do my own taxes every year as this was my work before training, can my placement schools that already know me just hire me as a supply teacher directly? I can't seem to find any info online about this.

I'm going to sign up to agencies too, just wondering if this is possible
