The royal family

So many Jubilee threads!

It's obviously something MNetters want to talk about, but it's scattered all over the place.

So, mindful of a lament in a 'one year since the Royal wedding' thread that so little of what was posted then could be found; I thought it might be helpful if I collected links to the ever-increasing number of threads round all the other forums.

I won't link any in "chat" as they'll go phut (and that means the six or so Jubilee name change threads will be lost), but I'll try to get the rest. I've had my lack of accuracy pointed out to me once today, so if (when) you notice I've missed some, could I suggest you just add them? I'll add any further new ones if I see them.

AIBU to wonder why the whole country has gone completely bloody Royalist?

AIBU to think the BBC thinks it is the mouthpiece of the Monarchy?

Well, I'd said in my OP why I was making this thread. I never expected everyone to like it (and had rather thought that those uninterested would have this forum hidden).

But I think I'm far from alone in having MN as a hobby Grin Crown And the few minutes a few times a day fits RL jolly well!

I don't think I have ever come on to a thread simply to insult an OP like you did. I looked at this thread and thought it was an interesting index. It wouldn't have occurred to me to post as you did.

Some more:

AIBU to think most 86 year olds do not have such a busy weekend?

AIBU to think that when the Queen went below for a bit

AIBU to think the BBC coverage of th flotilla is total crap? (My pet gripe of the day, the ITV coverage called "All the Queen's Horses" kept cutting away from the horses. If they were doing a general light entertainment show, give it a different name: don't promise horses then fail to show them. Grrrr)

AIBU to try to get my Jubilee Family Festival ticket money refunded

AIBU to think this pageant is pretty dull

AIBU is there no thread for curmudgeonly Republicans to be cuntish on

Thanks Crown

There's a ghoulish thread in chat about what happens if HMQ dies, at which point everyone will, I suspect, want to see what we said at time of Jubilee. This thread will I hope make it a bit easier then - or more happily at 70th or even 75th Jubilee. (And it does strike me as So Ridiculous that everything goes into AIBU at the moment).

Gosh QueenEdith you've been busy... Unfortunately can't check them out because MN links don't work on the MN App. Angry (when are MN going to sort this out?)
