I tried this in housekeeping but no responses so trying again here.

Can anyone recommend an affordable robot vaccum/mop that can deal with daily dog shedding? All downstairs is hard floor (dogs don't get upstairs) this would be life changing for me as I need to hoover/mop daily and have a large home! Thank you in advance

I've got a robot vacuum. I wouldn't be without it now despite not wanting one at all originally. Grin

It doesn't really manage that well with hair, you will have to maintain the brushes regularly.

Some are designed for pets so that would probably be the best starting point. Mine doesn't mop.

I've got this one. I'm really impressed with it. Particularly for the price.

Venga! Robot Vacuum Cleaner, with Mop, Easy to Use, 6 Cleaning Modes, Quiet Operation, White, VG RVC 3000 BS https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07SPH3FPS/ref=cmswwrcppapiglttfabcB9K88Q22A8XGMGND144V??encoding=UTF8&psc=1

I have an ecovac deebot N8.
It mops and vacuums. All you have to do it fill up the water station- it fills itself up and empties the dirty water at the station. The vacuum bags are also quite big so you don’t have to change them every week.

Any recs for a robot that can cover hardwood, laminate and rugs? Is that a tall ask? Mostly for dirt as fur isn't too bad, but I swear I sweep up about a cups worth of actual dirt every day.

My main worry is that it won't cope with the different textures and also wonder if it has enough oomph to get over the door sills and up on to our rug which has an underlay under for insulation
