Would be grateful - yes I can get recipes online but I don't know if they are any good or not. Would rather go with a recommendation. Thanks

I personally do not fed garlic to my dogs but apparently it is safe if used in correct doses.

I've seen someone mention garlic, I thought garlic was harmful to dogs?

I use gram flour/chickpea flour instead of wheat. Like the idea of microwaving, will try that next time.

Grin QOD

Yes thegirls it makes the liver go further I suppose, and its actually a dryish consistency so easier to handle when taking it as training treats on walks.

Thanks I will go with Vallahalla's suggestion and will also go the tuna variant a whirl

Is there a reason to make a cake? I just boil lambs liver, drain, cool, chop, open freeze and decant into a Tupperware , then defrost small amounts to use.
Is it to make liver go further?

I prefer the microwave method to the oven as it is not so smelly as it is cooked quicker. Grin

The smell does stop the DC thinking that it is chocolate brownie though and eating it...... looks at DS.Grin

If you want grain free you can just whizz the liver and eggs in a blender and microwave that

or

you can use grated potato.

If you have not got liver then you can use tuna - not quite so smelly.

Haha what a dick. I didn’t want to judge you all but wondered what the actual duck was wrong with your taste buds.
I NOW see its posted ‘in the dog house’ doh!

@QOD, it's for dogs, not humans, so you don't have to worry what it tastes like!

Does anyone have a grain free recipe that works? I've done one with sweet potato, but it's a bit crumbly (not sure if I cooked it long enough)

I really really thought liver would be a mistype

God it’s not. What the actual Jeff is it? Like meatloaf ?

I don’t like the taste of texture of offal

That's the same recipe as I do, though I use a loaf tin and bake in the oven. Then slice, cut into cubes and freeze.
Make it on a day you can have all the windows open - it stinks out your house! You may also find that dogs who previously ignored you will want to be your friend - it is definitely the dog equivalent of crack cocaine Grin

Liver 1lb (I prefer chicken liver as it is less likely to kill the blender)
Flour I use granary 1lb
Oil 1tsb
Eggs 3
Milk as needed to keep
You can use garlic I don’t

Liquidise liver with eggs, milk and a little oil (and garlic) in blender.
Add to flour and mix.
Put into microwavable dish and cook for about 6-10 minutes on full power
Cut into strips/cubes and freeze.
Defrost required amounts at your leisure.
