Hi all, first time in the dog house
My Jack Russell who is 11 in December suffers arthritis but I think he may have taken a turn for the worst tonight.
When he’s trying to stand up he’s simply falling back down again over and over. He’s growling pretty much non stop to himself assuming he’s in pain.
I know a trip to the vets is in order but does this sound like the end? He’s a very behaviourally problematic dog but we love him and don’t want him to be in pain

Poor fella. I'd get him seen tonight if you can as it does sound like he's in pain & it's not fair on him to wait.

Can you get him to the vets tonight as it sounds like he is in a lot of pain .
I can't comment about whether it sounds like the end but equally there might be lots of things they can try to stop the pain and make his condition more comfortable.
