The Boy Whose Skin Fell Off

Just caught the last 20 minutes of this. What a living hell Jonny went through for 37 years. I feel quite humbled.

He obviously knew his time had come to die. My Dad died last year he knew his time was up a few days before too. Does anyone know how people know they are going to die or do you just give up on life?

DH and I cried buckets too. Not only was Jonny an amazing inspiration, but what a wonderful mum & brother he has.

There is a little boy (about 8) fairly locally who has this condition - his local paper has launched an appeal for funds to take him somewhere special. There are family photos in the paper and he just looks pissed off and sad in all of them. Maybe when he's older he'll be more like Jonny.

I saw this the first time it was aired. Really, really, incredibly moving. He was amazingly upbeat, confident and positive. A true inspiration. Both DH and I were in floods of tears watching it. Jonny's family and friends should feel very proud and privileged to have met him.
