I really loved this. Perhapd not as strong as s1 but just love all the characters and there are some great lines. The cast are incredible!

Alma's not Normal is very funny - not often I laugh out loud. All the cast are brilliant (live Lorraine Ashbourne as her Nan) filmed in Bolton.

This series of The Other One is not as funny as series one. The main premise of Cathy and Cat being so totally different as been lost with All these other characters being desperately thrown in.

I loved Almas not normal too

Alma’s Not Normal was hilariously funny and gut wrenchingly sad, genius.

It was PC (pretty) Cathy. She was at school with Cathy and at her hen do.

Who was the Mum of the baby Callum?

Cathy and Cat appeared to know her, but I feel I missed something.

i really enjoy this too
dh laughed so much about the goat

I laughed aloud so loudly at that that DH shot off the sofa.

I thought this series was not as brilliant as the first, but it had less strong material. I thought too that the reaction of Callum (the first) was quite jarring in his speedy acceptance of it all, whereas in series one it all felt vaguely on the realistic side of surreal.

But it's still really, really good on the whole. SO GOOD to see so many lead female characters. This and Alma's Not Normal have been so refreshing for that.

Series one was superior I agree !

Pretty sure it’s set in Manchester with the whole northern soul thing, and I’m sure it was mentioned in series one.

I must admit I enjoyed series one more, but ‘woe betide’, ‘You’d better not fall in love with me’ in GCSE Maths and the GP waiting area video which looked like Tess all made me laugh. Just a bit too patchy this time around IMO.

It was nice to see Northern soul music and styles mentioned a lot : it's not a genre of music I know much about , but the writer clearly does
and they seemed to love it too. I looked up a few of the artists mentioned.
Better than just having 70s or 'Abba night ' or something like that on there. Bit different.

I would describe Cat's accent as East Midlands - Notts maybe - too!

I just love the younger sister - love her London accent

It's not a London accent though, it's East Midlands I'm pretty sure (local to me). And the actress, Lauren Socha, is from Derby. Not sure where the series is supposed to be set.

assume not or else would have been in the will

I liked the farm holiday at Auntie Dawn's! Caroline Quentin is another excellent actress in this (among many).
So many laughs in that episode (not least about the goat!)

This is so good. I wasn't sure for the first couple of episodes of series one but once I got into it properly I loved it. I thought the opener for series two on Friday was brilliant. Siobhan Finneran is such a good actor. She's bloody marvellous in Alma's Not Normal as well.
