Family therapy - anyone done it ?

I have one DD (12) and one DH (70) her step father and me in the middle.
Things are pretty shitty at the moment between all three of us. I shout at DD, she shouts at me and DH shouts at both of us and then I shout at him. I do apologise. DH doesn't, DD apologises to me but not to DH. (Relations between him and her aren't good).
I was wondering if it's worth going to family therapy at Relate. Even if I just go, I think I would learn something helpful. (DH wouldn't consider it). Has anyone done family therapy and found it useful. ?

I have not done it but I think we need it my DS and DD cannot be in the same room. So would really love to hear any experiences about therapy.
