Recommendations for thermal tops

I'm looking for some thermal tops that can be worn as long sleeved T shirts. So nice enough that I could wear them under a cardigan or dungarees, just for normal day to day wear (not for hiking or camping or anything).
I've seen the M&S ones - has anyone tried them? Or can recommend anything else?

Uniqlo Heattech can't be beaten IMO

I have the M&S, Uniqlo and Primark ones all long sleeved round necks. I wear them when it's cold under a cardigan or jumper at work as the air con is always on in the winter! They all seem to provide the same warmth.

Mens M&S thermal tops are way better than ladies.

I have both M&S and Uniqlo and either would meet your requirements. I go for the slightly thicker ones but also have a couple of the thinner ones for slightly warmer days. Any of them works as an outer top as you suggest and they tend to come in a variety of colours.

I love the M&S ones. I get more use out of the Heatgen as opposed to Heatgen Plus version though. They’re too warm to layer and the seams quite thick for my liking. Would like to see some more muted mid tone colours.

Yes, I like them. They wear and wash well.

I buy them 2 sizes down from my normal size as I wear them close fitting under dresses.

I have two M&S ones (black sparkle and purple leopard print) and they are brilliant. You would be able to wear them under dungarees, but not on there own with a jacket or undone cardigan, because they are quite sheer/thin.

I have the womens heatgen and have always liked them. Can someone please tell me what makes the mens ones better? I’m wondering if I can be convinced to try them.
@Mindymomo ? 😊

I prefer Uniqlo Heattech although got some of the thicker M&S ones last year and they are good too. Most of them are a fair bit thinner than usual t-shirts so I always wear them under something.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions! I'll look into all that.

I like the fine wool merino - free on H&M and Cos, even Tesco - Uniqlo Heattech get a bit smelly, as synthetics often do.

I have Uniqlo, M&S and primark. I find M&S quite small and short. Primark are quite big and long but there’s a lack of colours. Uniqlo is by far my favourite. I wear the roll neck ones as normal tops, tucked into jeans. The primark and M&S ones are only good for layering for me.

I bought two from Sainsburys about five years and have worn them through every winter since. Brilliant quality although their range may have changed by now.

I’ve found Sainsbury’s thermals very good & Sainsbury’s/Tu (also at Argos) have frequent 20% off sales.
I bought silk long sleeve underwear from Debenhams when it went bust but have also got some bits from
www.patra.com
thisissilk.com/
when they have sales.

@MermaidMeemaw, ahhh - I LOVE the purple leopard M&S thermal. Such a gorgeous colour! Really hoping it’ll be brought back this year… 🤞🏼
