I need good socks!!!
Proudtocare98542 · 12/12/2021 11:06
I do love Primarni but the socks go all baggy. Where can I find the best socks, ones that are warm, comfy and stay up?
Inthesameboatatmo · 12/12/2021 12:20
Uniqlo or m&s thermal socks are my favourite and they don't go baggy, have had mine probably longer than I should have .
ShirleyPhallus · 12/12/2021 12:23
I love Stance socks, particularly their trainer socks which are the only ones which don’t fall down behind your heel; and their ski style socks which are so warm and stay up well

I really like nordic socks , they're a bit expensive but they wash and wear well!

Finisterre do 3 pairs of merino socks for £24, including fabulous stripes, that come in proper sizes:

I love wool socks so think they are good value.

I second Finisterre, I bought some after someone recommended them in another thread, and they are great quality. I have some merino and some cotton ones.
I used to buy Happy Socks, and the designs are great, but they only lasted me 3-4 months.

@SeaRabbit I have just had a look on your recommendation as I love wool socks too. They look good. I don’t anymore just now though, but will bear them in mind for the future. Have you bought other stuff from Finisterre and do they have good customer service?
IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 12/12/2021 16:52
@AnnieSnap, Finisterre’s customer service is superb. I havn’t got any of their socks, but I have a few of their other things.

Isobaa merino or Bridgedale. Both fairly expensive but both very comfortable and worth it for warm feet.
prettypinkflamingo · 12/12/2021 17:03
Another vote for Stance...they just fit my feet really well and don't slide down!
Shelleymoon · 12/12/2021 17:07
H and M multipack (5 pairs?) black ankle socks are fab. Can highly recommend.
PerpetualStudent · 12/12/2021 17:09
Thought socks are lovely - not cheap but thick cotton, long lasting and really nice patterns.
I had some bamboo ones from BAM and from Rapuni (who do amazing t/shirts and leggings) and they didn’t hold up very well…
Bunce1 · 12/12/2021 17:11
Stance! They just fit so well.
Otherwise Nordic socks are nice and Monki glitter socks are lush!

I agree on both points
notoldjustpastyoung · 13/12/2021 18:05
Search for Bamboo sox, I think it's Sox Shop. They are so soft and comfortable. Looks like they seem to be the vote all round.
foxyariel · 13/12/2021 18:47
Seasalt. They are good quality and come in a range of quirky designs, but they do plain ones too.
me109f · 14/12/2021 00:41
Browse the designer brands at TK Max. Quality pays, and I like padded sport sox but you can find all types for different uses. Check out the materials and make sure there is a good proportioon of natural fibres (wool /cotton) and maybe elasthane for grip; but avoid sox that are too tight.
Nat6999 · 14/12/2021 01:12
If you want super thick socks, buy Heatholders from Amazon, I have peripheral neuropathy & Raynauds & wear Heatholders 24/7. They measure up at 2.4 tog.
AnnieSnap · 14/12/2021 13:28
@Nat6999 I do like heat holders. Their gloves and mittens are great too.
