Looking for the mother of all dressing gowns

This Christmas the only thing I want is a huge, cosy dressing gown. I need it to be thick and super warm, knee-length or longer, snuggly and have two large pockets. I plan to live in it while I'm on maternity leave, as well as wear it with a massive bump, so the bigger the better. It also needs to be machine washable too, so I think wool is out. Has anyone seen this marvel and could tell me where to buy it from please?

This is all I want too! I had a really good one from Next previously but a quick look on their website and nothing on there looks as good

Look in the men’s section. They are almost always thicker and better quality.

The white company have some pretty thick looking ones.

Men's section is a good idea, thank you!

You want to wait for the velour white company ones - I was on this hunt last year and when I finally got The One the white company sales assistant told me they come out at Christmas.

I have one from John Lewis and it’s great, absolutely massive. I think it is was called Luxury Towelling Robe. I got it in a large despite being 5’3 so that there was plenty of room in it.

After having the same M&S dressing gown for nearly 20 years Blush, I replaced with a White Company one. The hood is too heavy so am constantly hoiking it forward , it's faded terribly after a year or so and looks really tatty and I've had to stitch the pockets.

Hi OP - I would go for one of the longline zipped ones from M&S much warmer than a typical robe as don't fall open so easily and have a high collar. Also dry quicker as fleecy material

That said I have bought my mum an old fashioned housecoat one with buttons and collar (also long). i tried it on to make sure it would fit her / not be too long and it was a struggle to take off as it was so bloody warm and cosy.

The White Company hydrocotton one linked to up thread is amazing and ticks all your boxes.
The ribbed one is not as thick, neither is the velour. But the hydrocotton hooded is amazing. I have it in navy

I definitely agree with The White Company velour robes. I'm on my second. My first lasted 5 years. They are so cosy and comfortable.

The M and S Rosie dressing gown is super soft and snuggly. I had it 2 yrs ago and still lovely . I noticed they are in again.

I have a men's one, it was actually from Morrison's so not expensive at all but so warm and comfortable! I live in it and it's still lovely despite being about three years old.

I had one from the mens section in Sainsburys this time last year, it’s so thick and warm. It’s perfect. It has a thick black teddy lining and comes down to my mid calf. The womens were thin rags in comparison, why is that?? Angry

This is what you need, possibly not as attractive as the White Company ones but cheaper and sooo thick and warm. They might have them in store if you want to see how thick they are first.
