Talk to me about T-shirts

I ordered a batch of plain one-colour T-shirts for everyday.
But they all seem really long.
I'm a 12/14 on top and a 8/10 on bottom so long t-shirts hang like tents.

Do I find different shorter ones? If so where?
Or start tucking them in all the time
Or do some knotting thing?
Or just look pregnant 😀
Or something else?

T shirts seem to be weird lengths and shapes this year! They are either short and wide or long and baggy. I’m struggling to find any nice ones - especially plain colours. Everything has got flipping bees or logos on!

Could you get them shortened? Not a sewing expert but I would think it would be a fairly cheap and easy alteration, and you could choose the ideal length for you?

Where did you get them from?
I got some from rapanuiclothing.com/ after seeing them recommended on here. They are perfect - although not much choice on necklines. They are environmentally friendly too. They have loads of print ones but I ordered the plain ones and a boxy tie dye one.

I also ordered from Rapanui after seeing recommended on here. Really happy with mine - the boxy ones are good for hiding a 'mum tum'. Suggest downsizing as they're quite wide fitting. I'm finding longer length t shirts don't look great now I've hit mid 40s Grin

I used to buy m and s but just got the year out of them. While in canada i found lauren ralph lauren ones. Cotton half turn up sleeve. Some i have 7 yrs still on the go. Very dressy boatline neck mid length with slits at side. Just got a new blk and white ones this week from country attaire £39 each. Plain colours only. I wear them winter and summer. They wash beautifully.

Citizen Wolf. They make to measure. Pricey but worth it.

Whistles have the best t-shirts. Perfect length, fit and thickness. £35 but I always feel good in just a tee with theirs.

I have a shorter torso and always looking for t shirts that aren't too long, just got some from Everlane which are pretty good

Agree with PP about the Lauren ones although they are quite thick cotton and very warm in summer. I’ve just got a couple of boat neck ones from Boden, the violet one is stupidly long and looks unflattering but the black one from the same range and allegedly the same style is the perfect length.
Also try Jigsaw, their Pima cotton ones are brilliant.

Thanks all.
The boxy ones make me look pregnant as I have big boobs and they just hang down.
I need them to be shortish with some shape to them

Love the look of the whistles ones, but none of the colours will suit me.

How did I become this fussy?

Those Everlane ones look good!

But just noticed that they ship from outside the uk and returns look a faff. Not ideal when I'm likely to need to try multiple sizes.

I’ve bought Everlane tees, a couple of years back, after folk raving about them… what a waste of time and money. I have only worn them to bed as the material is so thin, and the sizing on each one is different (some are oversized but then have a really low V).

I agree with pp, Everlane tshirts are really poor quality. Muji are good value and well made.

I'm about 1.55m tall and have been struggling for a year or two to buy tshirts, so I sympathcize. A bit hit and miss re lengths but I've found the odd one on Next in their petite range.

I like ASOS DESIGN ones in organic cotton. You have to size down a bit though (I’m a 14 and the 10s are perfect) but they are the perfect shape length and thickness - can’t see through the white ones at all. They’re a tenner each too so bargain!

I bought some shorter ones from Newlook yesterday, they were 2 for £12 I think.

You need to check the sizes I prefer long fitted scoop neck ones so I always look for ones that are around 75cm long
Measure from under your boob to the approx length that you want and then search for them in that size

.veromoda.com do a good range of fitted type t shirts that fit nice
Also on freeman’s they do some as well by Vera mode but I think slightly cheaper the round neck ones fit really nice ( not baggy - lose )
But on the VeraMode website you have more choice in colour
JayTee - t shirts on Amazon only in black - white but they are long line ones so come past my hips but very fitted but with stretch and have a scoop neck and they are lovely if you like that style

www.veromoda.com/gb/en/vm/shop-by-category/tops/2-pack-short-sleeved-top-10236179.html?cgid=vm-tops&dwvar_colorPattern=10236179_BrightWhite_815145

These are 60 cm so would be perfect if you don’t want long ones but want fitted / stretch ones
