Recommend me a swimsuit please!

I've had a little look online but not seen one I like yet. Can you help please?

It's for a family holiday in UK where swimming will be essential.

I prefer a one-piece but would consider a tankini.

I'm a small-busted size 10/12 and short.

'Traditional' swimsuits - think Speedo - aren't me, and I also prefer one with a tummy control panel.

Inspire me please! Give me something to look forward to!

Thanks you lovely lot x

What do you like, pattern or plain.

M&S have a few 'control' swimsuits. If you like blue floral this might suit.

I have had success with Lands End, both one-piece swimsuit and tankini styles.

I really rate Sainsburys tummy control swimsuits. Your request is very vague though!

Boden. I only ever buy sale pieces and order lots to try because swimwear seems to vary so much. Good quality.

The Boden Corsica swimsuit is a fantastic shape.

I've been a Boden swimsuit devotee for a long time, they are really good but the patterns and cut don't suit me this season. I've just bought an Andie Laguna swimsuit instead, haven't swim in it yet but it fits really well and is made of good quality Lycra.

I should say that I read threads like this for several years with many people suggesting Boden and I thought it was just too expensive for something I don't wear much. However, having tried it I am a convert and when it is half-price it really isn't £££. I do have pieces in 3 different sizes though, so do order anything you think might vaguely work!

I bought this last week. I hate swimming costumes but this one is surprisingly flattering.

I've just bought the M&S one @LizzieMacQueen posted, it's very flattering and I love the colours.

Thank you all so much! These are FANTASTIC suggestions, with some from places I'd never heard of!

Will order some to try at home, my favourite is the navy Biden one, it's a fab neckline.

Thanks again GrinThanks

I love Batoko (size down for supportive fit:they are double lined feel like they hold you in nicely), but they might be a bit bolder than you like!

I think the best swimsuits for proper swimming are Arena

Sainsbury’s do a really good range. I like plain black one piece swimsuits and they do at least one every year, often with discreet piping detail and in flattering styles that are also good to swim in, at half the price of M&S.

I bought this one last year but in a different colourway. The Boden Kefalonia. www.boden.co.uk/en-gb/kefalonia-swimsuit-noble-blue/sty-s0072-blu?cat=C2_S2_G17 It's well worth a try on.

I also bought this reversible red/blue one from White Stuff. They only have the smaller sizes available on this link but it's also worth seeking out to try. Very comfortable and flattering. www.whitestuff.com/womens/swimwear/ocean-blue-summertime-reversible-swimsuit/

Another vote for Batoko here! They are made from plastic waste found in the ocean and the fabric is really supportive. Concur with sizing down.

Came on to recommend Batoko but been beaten to it! I LOVE mine, so comfortable and flattering. I have had ruched/tummy control cossies in the past and always find I get cold in them sitting on the beach as the fabric doesn't dry very well.

I’m short and fairly small busted and found a deep V to be quite flattering - elongates the body.

Something like this also comes in a rusty red colour

Primark bring out a tummy control, halter neck, backless swimsuit every year. Was a 5er. I have 3 years worth. Absolutely unbelievable on.

Miraclesuit is excellent for tummy control, the suits are flattering and good quality.

You didn’t mention budget OP but I really rate the one pieces from J Crew. They have some with deep Vs and are very supportive. They have some with 15% off at the moment. They do petite too if that helps.

@Kimye4eva - budget is pretty much whatever it takes 😂 I'm hugely looking forward to the holiday and seeing family BUT absolutely HATE being seen in a swimsuit.... there's really nothing wrong with my body, it has the same good and bad bits as everyone else, I just find being so exposed very uncomfortable. So, prepared to pay £££ to feel as good as possible. Ridiculous, I know this.

Some amazing swimsuits have been suggested, thank you so much 😁
