Anyone know where I can buy some bog standard, decent cotton, multi-pack knickers that are in pretty, fresh, colours and not horrible sludgy ones? On-line pls.

My pants from TU didn’t last a month before the elastic parted company with the material.
Made great polishing cloths though.

Mine were plain black and it was that frilly elastic that left me so sore.

The knickers I got from TU did not have razor wire elastic. They are the plain packs with frill around the bottom - well the leg holes and waist I think.

Twolittle, TPUK s back up and running again after they closed down a year or so back. There's also TPUS, which I purchased from once as I really wanted a specific design TP had produced. I haven't purchased from the original NZ shop. They do some absolutely ridiculous designs but now and then they do one I love. Mostly though I stick with black, but I do always feel like I'm putting on superhero pants when I wear the red ones!

I once had a pair of thunder pants years ago and they were amazing, I’d forgotten! Do they sell them in the uk now?

M&S or Tu.

Both good quality and good prices, especially the Sainsbury’s ones.

I replaced all my beloved M&S Brazilian pants earlier this year. Same style (I thought), same size - they just fall straight down like they've forgotten the elastic.

So don't get them.

Thanks again everyone!

Never heard of Thunderpants until now!

Want to avoid lace on the waist as I find it irritates my skin but will have a look at all the recommendations, thank you.

Peacocks are pretty good for pants.

I came to recommend Matalan, but @uncomfortablydumb53 has beaten me to it.Smile

Another vote for Asda lace top full briefs. Gorgeous bright colours (or black/white multipacks), wash really well, don't make me feel like I'm wearing my granny's knickers

Matalan five pack of cotton shorts about £8

I was recently surprised at the fit and quality of a Matalan multipack

I like M&S ones, they seem to hold their shape well and they usually do nice colours. Sainsbury's ones have been surprisingly good too.

Correction, I meant to write "I always mention Thunder Pants", they are not an always brand of pants!!!!!

Always Thunder Pants. No elastic. VERY well made. Will not ride or shift and I find if I have the right size I have no vpl because they go right round the whole of my bottom rather than cutting mid way across the cheek. They are expensive, but they last for years.

Grin WhoWouldHaveThoughtThat sorry, unfortunate turn of phrase! Grin

Thank you everyone for all the suggestions.
I started the thread because nothing in Marks took my fancy as all the designs and colours seemed a bit meh.

Off to track down your leads ...thanks again.

Definitely going to try and avoid the razor wire elastic

I get all my knickers from TU, they're my favourite type.

(And I'll always remember the blogger I used to read getting sniffy about multi packs of knickers from the supermarket. I love wearing something bright and cheery under my Goth ensembles. Grin )

Definitely markses.

I bought some Tu ones on the recommendations I got on a thread of my own and ended up binning them because the elastic felt like razor wire.

You need Matalan in your life or George at Asda. Cheap and cheerful but do the job.

I agree with John Lewis
