Birkenstock Boots

Does anyone have any? Do they soften up quickly?

I've just 'invested' in a pair and they arrived today. I have quite severe plantar fasciitis and love my Birkie sandals so wanted to get the boots for cold weather. They look lovely but they are so stiff it took me half an hour to get my feet in! The heels are reinforced I think and there is no 'give' in them. Now they are on they feel ok, definitely the right shoe size but I can still feel the heels are a little pinchy (but there is room at the toe end so it's not that they are small). I'm going to wear them around the house today but I can't keep them if it's going to take me so long to get them on every time - anyone have any experience??

I went ahead a bought a pair this weekend. Not quite the colour for work but I’m wearing them anyway BECAUSE I CAN WALK!!!!!
Isn’t it amazing to be able to get off the sofa at night and not collapse in a heap?? Isn’t it lovely to lie in bed at night without throbbing, painful feet??
So glad I spotted your post. I genuinely feel so much better. Thanks x

@PMcGee I did get used to them! They softened ever so slightly and I learnt the technique for getting them on (basically using a shoe horn!) so that it takes moments now. They are great boots and I never get so much as a twinge of PF now.

I bought one size up, to allow me to wear socks with the boots and that seems to have been the right decision.

How did you get on with them? I could have written this post. Have bad PF in my right foot which disappears when I wear my Birkenstock sandals so want to get boots for winter. Did you get the same size boot as sandal and how are they?
