The Fjällräven kanken backpacks are really popular now. Functional looking but not super smart.

They are pricey though.

I carry a laptop and have recently replaced my work backpack with this.

It’s much more fashionable than my old Wenger one and I don’t expect it to last the ten years that did but I like it.

After searching for years I caved and have a beautifu tan leather one from Fossil. It's was £299 I think, but so worth it and I use it pretty much every day. Fits laptop, lunch, cables, day book etc easily.

I have the Sydney backpack from www.miatui.com and it's brilliant. They do smaller ones too but I like to be able to carry as much as is humanly possible!

I got a really nice one from Charlie Feist which is vegan and made from recycled plastic bottles. Sounds hippie but looks minimalist and cool

A pretty stylish friend of mine swears by backpacks from Rains. They're waterproof/resistant too.

I love the fjallraven ones too. Although not sure if I look a bit like a student when wearing it! I’m 39...

Hi OP,
I have just ordered a leather bag from here.
There's 20% off at the moment.
Hope they're as nice as they look!

I have a Cath Kidston one which I got for about £40 in the sale. This type but not this print:

Been brilliant so far; sturdy, spacious, easy to carry. Plus wipe clean which is a bonus with small grubby children around Confused
