Slimming World

Restarting SW, anyone want to buddy up for the journey?

Hey everyone,

I first joined slimming world for about 6 months in 2013. I lost 1 stone, and then stopped going. Since then, I've lost a further half a stone.

I'm going to restart the plan, but this time without going to group - which I know will be very difficult. I hope to lose another 2 stone!

Will use this thread to post weekly weigh in results, recipes and generally how I feel during the week.

It would be lovely if anyone would like to join me in sharing their journey & for moral support :)

xx

Hi there, i would like to join you in your journey if thats ok. I did start slimming world two weeks yesterday, but missed my weigh in last night as i have had an operation this Tuesday on my left leg, i had varicose veins out. So u can imagine im quite sore and not very mobile at present.

I was happy last week as i had my first weigh in and had lost 4.5 lbs. But i have weighed myself this morning and found i have put the weight back on! Im so disheartened at mo, and pee'd off with myself! You see, i had the odd post operation "treat" well its time to get back on track. Smile xx

Hey Kimbles!

Of course, that's more than ok :)

I hope you're recovering from your operation well?

I think if you've been ill like that, a gain isn't the end of the world - you can always lose it again this week! What matters most is that you get back on track again!

Maybe keep a food diary this week, and keep to plan 100%, making sure you still allow yourself 5-15 syns per day

Don't be too disheartened though - there's always going to be slight differences between sets of scales, what surface they are on, and what point in the day you weigh yourself. Maybe next time you go to group, weigh yourself after you get home too to see if there are any differences between the scales?

I just had my first week weigh in (well 6 days really) and I've lost 3lbs.
I'm really pleased! Hopefully next week will be just as good.

Hey peachy! Is peachy ok? Or would you rather be called something else? Sorry about delay in reply...ive been in quite a lot of pain with my leg, on strong pain killers so been "away with the fairies"

Anyway well done on your loss! Yes you're right...no use giving myself a hard time, i have been writing in my food diary sheets they give you. I like the idea about the scales..can you tell im new to all this?! Lol.
Anyway, you keep up the good work! Yay! :)

Take care

Kim :) xx

Hi - mind if I join you too?
I restarted SW on tuesday, having previously lost about 2 stone on it after my third baby was born 2y ago.....i've now gained most of that back and am on a mission to restart and stick with it.
I'm 5ft 11" and weight 14st 12lb. Groups just don't work for me so I'm going it alone this time..... so some fellow SW support would be fab!
I'm aiming to lose 42lb. Bloody hell that sounds scary.
Here goes...!

Well done, 3lb is great.

I started in January, lost half a stone. Fell off the wagon in March and now I need to lose a stone.

Doesn't sound much but I'm short and greedy

I've had:

B: overnight oats (HEB) with coconut muller light and berries
D: pasta salad with shitloads of veg, mozzarella (HEA) and a dollop of pesto (some syns not sure how many but not a lot)

Out for tea but my friend is the SW master so I'll copy her!

Right. I'm joining.

I'm 10lb12.5 and aiming for 10 when I go on holiday 7 weeks today but I'll be happy with anything under 10.5 so aiming for 1-2lb a week loss. Have lost 7.5lb in 6 weeks so far on extra easy. I've done slimming world a few times and get great results when I follow it.

I'm currently doing 3 days fruit veg lean meat and low fat/ fat free dairy only and 4 days more relaxed at the moment.

3 "good" days I go for fruit salad and fat free yog, big salad with tuna, chicken or ham at lunch andnd evening meal of chicken, fish, steak with vegs.), these are my 3 working days so nice and easy to get breakfast on the go arendnd prep lunch night before. On my 4 relaxed days I'll have more carbs e.g. breads, rice couscous, and more dairy (cheese!). We have one meal out or takeaway a week which I just write off as long as I've been good the rest of the week.

Yesterday I had brunch of poached eggs 1 slice wholemeal toast. Some slices of ham. muller light mid afternoon. evening meal salmon fillet, mash, asparagus, broccoli and a poached egg.

I'm going to have weetabix skimmed milk and fruit breakfast, jacket potato or salad lunch and it's Indian takeaway night!

I've actually stuck to it all week this week. Apart from yesterday when I had to have a 2 hour fasting glucose test and in place of breakfast had 2 digestives at 11:30.

I have done 2 aerobics classes this week and a 7 minute work out on the other days.

High hopes for tomorrow morning's weigh in!

JasperDamerel · 25/07/2015 09:06

I will be weighing in tomorrow. So far this week I've stuck to my goals of averaging around 7-10 syns a day, eating according to plan, and exercising 5 days a week.

Hi everyone, can I join? Im plodding along slowly, it's taken me 5 months to lose a stone but I'm enjoying the journey Smile after months of not really feeling like it's going anywhere I can suddenly see a difference and for first time not dreading going on holiday.

Definitely making habit changes and determined not to undo all good work. 2 weeks camping so will be outside and active - but france so home of lots of temptations I am currently not sure how to work around Grin

Can I join you please? I will be starting classes in 3 weeks but before that, I need to get through a 2 week holiday.... I'm going to aim to eat as healthily as I can, following general SW guidelines (I may have done this a few times ??) and try at least not to gain any more weight. I need to lose about 2.5 stone. Eek! Good luck everyone.

I would like to start my journey with you. I haven't joined a class, have decided to go it alone, so would be good to have someone along for the ride. Hope you will be happy to come along and keep me on the right track. The reason I've decided to go it alone is I work shifts at the hospital and sometimes we are short staffed and I'm asked to stay on and have missed classes in the past because of it.
