I'm new! And confused!

Hi everyone,
I'm new to this: have around 4 stone to loose.
I don't have time to go to meetings, so I bought a friends starter pack off her sister.

I get that I'm allowed free food, but how do a+b foods work? Also how does alcohol factor?
I'm aiming for 5 sins a day

TIA

My advice Is go to the meeting and get the new starters talk If you've never done it. You don't hAve to carry on going but it gives you a good basis. For example I don't see why you're are only having 5 syns a day. You can have between 5 and 15. I regularly had 15 and lost stone.

As you see the weight coming off, that's enough inspiration for me, been doing this 3 weeks and I'm already 9lbs lighter.

Sorry, speed is the same as superfree...they tweaked the plan a bit a few months ago.

Thank you, I shall do this. What is speed?

You get paper diaries, or there's the website...but you'd only get access to them if you joined.

I don't often keep a food diary now as I've been doing it a while, so if I do, I literally just write it somewhere. With a list under all the headings, free, speed, a, b and syns.

Thank you all.
Where do you log this? In a diary or in a app?

Sorry! Sent too soon.

You're allowed one A and one B per day and between 5 & 15 syns.

With free foods...your plate/portion/days food should be one third speed or superfree depending on how old your book is.

You have one healthy extra A and one healthy extra B choice a day.

Anything other than free foods or the measured healthy extra portions is synned, including alcohol.

A foods (dairy basically) is for your calcium.

B foods are for additional fibre.

Alcohol is a syn so you've got to count it in your syns.
