BUNK BED ADVICE??

Hello!
Can anyone recommend the best place to buy bunk beds? Safe, sturdy, affordable but not cheap?
They are quite expensive, so I want to make sure the ones we buy are going to stand the test of time (and two crazy kids)

We’ve got 2, definitely not cheap but they’re bombproof in terms of kids. We’ve dismantled them to move house and rebuilt them and they’re still immaculate. Well worth the money.

We have just bought a Novaro bunk bed in white. Not too expensive but we're very pleased with it so far. I often sleep on the top bunk with 4 yo DS! Seems very sturdy.

Also, they’ve got shit hot customer service and are really lovely. It’s a smallish company. When I emailed to ask for instructions to dismantle and rebuild they sent them straightaway and said if there were any chips or damage from the move they’d send us some paint to touch up.

I’d avoid stompa though, bought one for DS1, not bloody cheap, and it’s shit.

We got ours from HERE and we're really impressed. Loads of options (ours are slightly lower as children are young), entirely solid pine and weight tested to 18 stone so not worried about clambering up to read stories. They are so solid and cheaper than pretty much everywhere else. Service was great too.
I'm not a shill I promise haha. Just really pleased and feel we got a bargain when the other ones I was looking at weren't solid wood and were £400+

I personally do not like the happybeds one as the top rail is too low safety wise and they do not come apart - so have to stay as bunks forever.

Anon91.... we have those bunks and the boys bloody love them.
The top bunk is not as high as others and the shelves are large which means each child can create a fairly cosy little zone with their stuff all around them.
Word of warning, well, 2 actually, it's noticeable wider than a standard bunk, so measure up well.
Secondly it's a bastard to assemble. It took reasonably capable (!) men about 4-5 hours. And they cursed all the way through mainly cos the instructions are a bit on the scant side.

We spent weeks looking around at reviews etc and decided to go for Thuka trendy bunks from Rainbow Wood and I absolutely cannot fault the service or product!
My 4yo was desperate to sleep on top but has poor eyesight at the best of times never mind the middle of the night so I liked that these have a slanted ladder and they through a safety kit in for free which consists of a handrail and step grips, both of which have a slight glow in the dark colouring.
I think they were £475 all in (without mattresses) but worth every penny.

I also looked at the Domino bed but with a 4yo girl and 11yo boy sharing at present I'm hoping we'll be splitting them when we manage to move to give them their own rooms rather than shelling out for more beds.
I read a few reviews about the guard rail being quite flimsy and the width put me off.

I hadn't noticed the guard rail being flimsy, I don't think it is at all.
But I did have to readjust my plans for the room, as with the shelves and the wide step ladder it does take up more of the room than I'd thought.

I even made little curtains to go around the lower bunk and hung one of those giant Ikea green leaves from ceiling for the top bunk, so they can create a little bit of their own space.

I see your points about the rail, it doesn't look very sturdy 
I'm going to have a good look through all of your suggestions now!
(My DH is an awesome joiner as well, if only he had the workspace he could build some amazing ones)
