My friend has just told me she is going to buy her daughter (my god daughter) the Plan Toys dolls house for her birthday and would like some of the furniture that goes with it as a present from me (in response to my having asked!).

Is this dolls house a good one (my god daughter is going to be 2) ans where can I get the furniture?

scroll down to the 'painted' sets -- definitely the cutest. and they're £11.99

baked potato - we have the ELC ones and they come with allsorts of little bits. the hitchen has a tiny little kettle, and even a wooden spoon. And the bathroom set comes complete a cute little yellow duck and back scrubber! The toy train from the children's bedroom set is very sweet too

I did buy all this for DD, honest

thanks everyone, not sure if this is the kind of thing where you can mix brands or not?

bakedpotato, if you can remember which supplier you used, I'd love to know, as so far I've found it's all around £15 per room. £11.99 sounds a good deal.

Don't know about the Plan Furniture.

However the ELC modern doll's furniture is currently on a 3 for 2 offer at the moment. Available packs include: living room, kitchen, double bedroom, child's bunk bed room, study, bathroom and outdoor set, as well as people pack (both a black and a white family of 6 available) and a pet pack.

We bought some this weekend and they are lovely

what a great present, lulupop. and how lovely that you asked.

am about to give one (the georgian) to my 3-yr-old. (followed old MN thread extolling virtues of plan dolls houses.) it's heavenly . i got depressed the other night and had to open box of 'household accessories' in bed and play with the tiny hoover. it really cheered me up.

i did some googling and compared prices. got room sets for £11.99 which was cheaper than some. i;ll try and find the stockist i used if you want.

There is more than one type of house. A modern one, and georgian one. Ask your friend which one she is buying. I bought DD the plan toys farm last year - half price in TK Maxx. They are very good quality. Try TK Maxx for the furniture too, otherwise ELC do the same stuff.

Not sure which house it might be - there are several from the basic open one to elaborate designs. However there are some pieces and room sets on here reduced in price and I think John Lewis and other independent toy shops would sell it. Plan Toys is related to Brio btw

Hi, lulupop. Plan toys do seem to be well made and sturdy. I am buying ds the garage for xmas and having searched on here it seems it is a well recommended one for his age - 2 yo. I have been looking at a few sites for costs and am sure you would find the dolls house furniture there also - try woodandtoys.co.uk or google for plan toys and a few sites come up.
